Give Andy a blank check. ;) If he doesn’t take it then go get Tony Vitello or Matt Deggs

In this imaginary scenario, you’ve got a blank check and your go to guy is mike fricking Bianco? The frick is wrong with you?

Not even close. There is a great percentage of schools that don’t have a paid hitting coach

And Garza hit 23-24 jacks in Juco too...

I feel like schlossnagle and McDonnell are better and more realistic options anyway

Yup. Top 2.

I think TCU coach actually would consider leaving for LSU, unlike the other poster.

Corbin isn’t leaving Vanderbilt.

Woodward is a person that would rather figure out how something could happen rather than someone telling him how something ain't happening.

Look, people laughed Alabama people in the ground for thinking they had a shot at getting Saban when they did. Now they're laughing at us. You don't know until you try.

I think he’s just going to force Maineri to reboot this coaching staff. Are we the only program in the country without a salary hitting coach?

Lmao. And people will act like Mainieri isn’t the one who set his staff up to have this predicament. He’s not a victim. He’s the very one who structured his staff the way it is.

There are people who can actually recruit AND coach hitting.

LSU baseball can get whoever its wants. And it needs to shoot for the top guy. I'm not sure who that is but get him.

No one would move from Nashville to BTR without a huge $$ incentive

If anyone has underachieved more than Mainieri, it's Corbin. He has had an embarrassment of riches at Vandy.

Cliff Godwin (ECU)

Under Godwin, the LSU offense hit .306 last year with 100 homers and 95 stolen bases. The squad recorded at least 10 runs in a game 20 times and posted a .509 slugging percentage!

Texas went after every person that is mentioned in this thread including Maineiri and ended up getting the guy at Tulane. Not saying that’s a bad hire and it may workout but going in I bet the fans weren’t thinking he was the guy.

College baseball isn’t college football. These guys care more about stability than a paycheck. No one is leaving a top school to come to LSU who is probably the only school in the country that would fire a coach in 4-5 years for simply not winning in Omaha. LSU isn’t okay with just making it there. You have to win there too.

I don’t know if it is time to move on from Maineiri yet. I don’t think it is but I would like to let the rest of the season play out before making that call for sure. I understand people being tired of him and thinking LSU can do better. I don’t understand why we have to make that decision right now in May when we can let everything play out and make the decision in June and have the same options that we have now.
