This thread shows that for every free thinker, Louisiana turns out a hundred stupid, angry right-wingers who have no idea what they're talking about.
Whenever I engage individuals known to be positioned on the right side of political spectrum I generally encounter a plethora of ideas with varied and differing opinions on matters.
Whenever I engage drones on the left I always encounter the hive mentality. There is no room for debate with the left.

The Louisiana Tigers was a regiment in the Army of Northern Virginia celebrated for its fighting prowess. The Washington Artillery was composed mostly of native New Orleanians.

My middle son was offered full scholarship to Gumpland based on his SAT and GPA.

So it really is put up or shut up, and stop fighting against university operations.
Kill 3-4 universities off, dump the money into LSU and Tech.
LA spends more money on education than half the country with far less results.

None of you mouth-breathing OAN frickers could define “woke” if you tried. You should hear how stupid you sound.

Woke is lighting your stadium up for a career criminal and championing a communist and racist organization like BLM. See, that was easy.

The pendulum swings, but at LSU it’s only gotten worse with institutional wokeness. I won’t be sending my kids there and find it harder and harder to even care about the sports.
It’s engrained in me to watch I guess. Maybe I won’t today.

Yep, it ain’t hard. LSU is an embarrassment on the university and Athletics side. They have promoted the national false narratives and the lies that go along with them. They have championed the false ideology that the USA is an evil country. LSU is run by pure filth.

And LSU did all of this to themselves. Alumni Association can go pound sand. Reject wrong no matter how deep your roots were.

In 1893 Charles Coates, the first LSU football coach, who was from New England, named the LSU mascot.
Where he was from, all the colleges named their football teams after ferocious animals (Yale Bulldogs, Princeton Tigers, etc.) So he chose Tigers, in part because of the prevailing fashion of ferocious animals, and also because he thought a tiger face would look good in purple and gold (colors HE chose at a local bookstore during Mardi Gras.)
He stated all this this 45 years later at a reunion banquet dinner and was quoted by a local author and the newspaper. It was also quoted in a later LSU book by Dan Hardesty.
Coates also stated that "although there WAS a regiment of Louisiana solders fighting in Virginia called 'that fighting band of Louisiana tigers' during the war, that had absolutely NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTHING to do with his choice of 'Tigers' as the mascot.
Some time AAAAAAAAFTERRRRRRRR he made the choice 'Tigers', he was 'made aware' of that war regiment name, (he had never heard it before), but noted that that name 'fighting band of Louisiana tigers' moniker was from THREE DECADES before, and had absolutely NOTHING to do with his choice of mascot names.
He reiterated that HE chose Tigers as the mascot name because of the prevailing custom of naming football teams after ferocious animals.
LSU was NOT the only school that 'borrowed' ferocious animal names from up north:
Georgia Bulldogs (Yale Bulldogs)
Auburn Tigers (Princeton Tigers)
Alabama Crimson Tide (Harvard Crimson)
This new President needs to be educated on this, and not just make wild assumptions based on hearsay.

This is pretty funny.
Go to the PT and tell me that isn't textbook hive mentality.

So I guess the Right as a whole decided that cutting funding to corporations and other legislators that don't agree with them is NOT cancel culture?

they probably call it patriotism

No one is asking LSU to be "right" you simpleton. They are asking them to shut up on political and bs social issues, and concentrate on education and fielding good sports programs. That should be pretty simple.
