re: With how deep the WR room is, does LSU have a WR who is a good candidate to move to CB?

I would think Toviano could play some corner if needed

I don't get the Downvotes for the OP. I was thinking the same thing.

There's no need for it. Why would a WR waste a year converting when House seems very happy with our CBs. Chestnut and Stamps have been getting high praise. Zy Alexander is doing well. Sage Ryan appears to be stepping up as nickle. They seem comfortable enough at CB that they moved Toviano to safety, and they could always move him back. Frankly, I was expecting him to get into the line-up at CB. If he's not, the rest must be doing pretty solid work. And there's still Welch, Johnson (though he might be injured), Allen, and Hughes behind them.
If Harris gets booted it doesn't seem like it will make a bit of difference, and frankly, the weak spot on our defense isn't looking very weak anymore.

You can never have too many CB’s.
Also, it’s a more valuable position in the NFL anyway.

Good point. A CB is nothing more than a WR who can't catch

Ok so not in the same class, but Tre wasn’t seeing the field at WR with them on the team.
Where in your link did Tre say they convinced him to move to CB?

I see what you are saying but this isn’t something you do in fall camp. This needs to be done in the spring and summer.

Y’all motherfrickers need to stay on the Xbox
Y’all really want these guys to switch positions about a month away from the season starting?? clowns

Tre’Davious White was a pretty successful example of one.
Corey Webster and Mo Claiborne were receivers turned Corners. Tre White was never a receiver, he came in to play Corner and succeeded.

And neither of them did it 2 weeks before the season starts.

We had the same amount of cbs last year and got to Atlanta, I think a lot of y’all are overreacting

And I would argue this year’s group is more talented on paper.

Prean would be the most obvious candidate. He has the size and quick twitch needed to play the position and he isnt going to see the field at WR this year. Emergency depth is needed at this point. Ryan Robinson has reported looked good at CB as well.

We have 15 receivers
We have 23 defensive backs
13 “safeties” + 10 cornerbacks, but I’d rather convert positions for a defensive player than from offense

WRs on the field at a time are generally 2-3. 4 at most. DBs on the field at a time are generally 4-5. 6 at most.

There are only 2 cornerbacks on the field at a time, but yes you could have 5-6 “DB’s”
