You guys are flat out ignorant if you don't think Wisconsin will at least rush for 150 yards.

nobody is saying they won't...my point was that we face o lines like that every week in the sec. this will not be a surprise to anyone. comprehend what you are reading.

Both of those teams ran the ball effectively against LSU last year. Alabama posted nearly 200. Auburn posted more than 200.

that wasn't my point...both of those teams have the ability to air it out, which wisc does not.

this defense is much improved from last year and auburn picked up most of their yards in the 2nd half. point is, this is nothing new or surprising to lsu's defense

Yeah that's a cheap argument, and you could make the argument that Wisconsin's offensive line will also improve, considering they return 4 of 5 starters and the 5th guy has experience.

I think they'll be better than ego/freak though, and have more depth behind them than last year.

freak/ego got tired towards the end of games.

i agree..this will help tremendously

ego/freak would play too many snaps last year and would get tired. I don't know if they refused to come out or the coaches made them stay or what to save redshirts etc...

but 2014 we should see much more rotation on the line i would assume

Personally, I don't really care how many yards they rush for. I just care about how many touchdowns they score.

Agreed. I think they run very well on us, but settle for 3 FG's, posting only one TD.

On the other hand, Andersen has run the spread-offense before. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they showed up in Houston with McEvoy (big, athletic, former safety) at QB (at least in some packages) in more of a spread role.

those redshirt guys weren't ready...if you have time, look at pictures of them in fall camp last year compared to this year. the difference is crazy

LSU lost two DT's who played too many snaps IMO

the depth in 2014 will be night and day IMO

Dude Alabama threw for less than 100 yards against us. They ran the ball down our fricking throats once we were down, and we couldn't do anything to stop it.

Furthermore, as I previously argued, UW's passing game will focus on the TEs over the middle. They will dink and dunk.

yeah, it just sucks that ego/freak would play like every defensive snap. that takes a huge toll. I don't think people understand how much they played... like FULL games...

So your argument is that we get better by losing two starters? That is very illogical.

i said they have the ABILITY...defensive strategy has to account for the offenses abilities.

Wisconsin doesn't need to air it out usually. And, kind of a head scratcher, but Stave did throw for 300 yards against Ohio State. That was an odd game.

Is it? How many did LSU lose on the line? How's the linebacker play? Is the defensive line speedy and agile or big and strong?

and replace them with better players? sounds logical to me...

give me 4 deep at dt any day over only 2

my argument is we lose two starters that didn't have anyone behind them. they would play 60 and 70 snaps with no depth behind them.

this year there will be a real rotation of players. that will be the difference IMO

If this were true, then you should see LSU giving up more yards at the end of games than at the beginning.

Unfortunately for your argument, this is not the case. LSU gave up the most rushing yards in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

2 and the linebacker play will be very good

1 of the 2 d tackles we lost is VERY replaceable based on his play last year.

two starting DT's. but they would play entire games. this year there will be a real 2 deep/3 deep rotation.

Didn't have anyone behind them? The guys we had behind them are the starters now.

What does that say?
