This list just shows how insanely hard it is to have sustained success in Omaha. Teams with a good bit of irrelevance in nearly two decades are still hovering around the top due to a spur of the moment run or a couple of runs early on. We are blessed to never fall from grace for that long.

Not really. We’ve got 4, but nobody else has more than 2. Somebody has to be 2nd. Kinda crazy that if this list was posted after the ‘22 CWS, we’d be a bit down the list. Still top 5, but not top 2 or 3 (I don’t think. Florida has won some games since then).
And if it went back to 1990, we’d be WAY ahead. You can kinda see the parity in college baseball—especially in the SEC—started right after Skip retired. And has obviously exploded in the past 5 years or so. Jay/LSU winning 2 out of 3 might not happen again for a long time. I don’t think we appreciated that ‘25 Championship in the moment as much as we might with a little more hindsight.
And hell, depending on adding a couple more bullpen arms and health luck (as always), we should have a really good shot of making another run again next year at 2 out of 3. So maybe it won’t be that long after all. So many things have to go just for right, though. But it can’t go right without 1st having the horses, and it appears we will most definitely have those at least.

It wasn’t for me, it was for a lot of the other folks who wouldn’t want to. And I just got a Twitter account within the past year, I can’t remember if you have to have one to open it.
Regardless, it’s a pretty cool graphic and very much definitely worth clicking on. I just thought it would be a list, didn’t know it would show how everybody moved from season to season. So maybe OP not posting the list was the right call.
