What is the source of the hate of Alleva?
Merely FB coach search?
Will Wade is doing something amazing, really turned over the roster ... wow!
And I personally am more and more sold on Orgeron .. er, his staff ...

Alleva's Bad:
Screwing up firing Les Miles in 2015
Screwing up the football coaching search in 2016
Allowing the basketball team to bow out of postseason play in 2016
Getting worked over by the Florida AD and SEC in 2016
Screwing up the hiring of Softball coach Pat Murphy.
Hiring Trent Johnson.
Hiring Johnny Jones.
Alleva's Good:
Hiring Beth Torina
Hiring of Will Wade
A good basketball and softball hire will not save an SEC AD from multiple bad football decisions. This list can probably be updated with the Canada debacle too.

The LSU Athletic Dept. brings in over a 100 million a year and as long as it does that Alleva will go no where no matter what the clowns on the Rant say!

Add in the horrendous women’s basketball coach and the destruction of the LSU game day atmosphere.

Alleva is a shitty AD and if Orgeron doesn’t pull it together, they’ll both be gone because if Orgeron tanks the football program, LSU won’t be a 100 million per year department

I hate him for the orgeron hire as much as the next guy, but its hard for me to blame him for the florida issue in 2016. I thought he handled that about as well as he could. We were gonna be made out to be the bad guys no matter what.
Same with the pat murphy thing. He went out to hire the bug gun and got him. Not his fault murphy had a change of heart.

I think he’s connected at the hip to Orgeron, of the football program fails then Alleva will lose his job, regardless of what the other sports do.

Wade has asked for coaches offices in the practice facility. Alleva/TAF have yet to meet this request. Alleva is trying really hard to mess this up.

Alleva's worst attribute is that he has created a culture where mediocrity is acceptable as long as it is still profitable.
He fired a good football coach, which was probably the right move, but he replaced him with an under qualified buffoon he thought he could control.
He has failed to make any progress in ending the permanent cross division rivals, and has alienated his potential allies in the process.
He tried to be agreeable with Florida in 2016, and still ended up looking like an insufferable jackass.
He is not only bad at major aspects of his job, he just isn't likable.

No, the football program brings that money, the rest operates in the red.
He fired one of the only coaches in LSU history to finish AP#1. Joe hasn't done shite really except for ride the success of Les Miles.
