What is the point in bringing McMahahon back even if you don’t get Wade. I feel like that’s way too much faith in one candidate to say oh no we can’t fire him now since our #1 candidate didn’t come to campus. I’m not the biggest Wade fan but they were winning while he was here. I’ll take that any day over what’s been the standard the last few years. Many coaches can improve what you have now regardless. I don’t understand the sentiment of running it back. I’m assuming this is certain boosters driving this and Wade is all they want.

Worship? I think most people who care about LSU basketball know he can be very successful for a long time. We won’t have a revolving door of coaches or every 3 years talking about buy out money. He fits and will generate excitement back into the program.

NC State shouldn’t counter offer. If he is ready to bolt after 1 year, they don’t have a realistic hope of retaining him over the long haul.
He is plainly not committed to them. Why be in a position of where you’re always looking over your shoulder.
