LSU men’s basketball coach Will Wade had an interview last week that stretched over two days to answer questions related to the NCAA investigation of his program, sources tell Sports Illustrated. The interview is a significant step toward finalizing that inquiry and ultimately issuing a notice of allegations (NOA) to the school.

interviewed Wade last Wednesday and Thursday in Baton Rouge, sources say. At least one additional interview with an LSU assistant coach is scheduled for this week.

As a result, an initial Nov. 1 target date for delivering an NOA to the school has been extended. It is unclear when that notice will arrive, but it is expected to encompass allegations in two sports, football and men’s basketball.

In August 2020, ESPN reported that a document from NCAA Director of Enforcement Jonathan Duncan said his staff received information that “Mr. Wade arranged for, offered and/or provided impermissible payments, including cash payments, to at least 11 men's basketball prospective student-athletes, their family members, individuals associated with the prospects and/or non-scholastic coaches in exchange for the prospects' enrollment at LSU.” That was included in the NCAA enforcement staff's request that the case be transferred to the IARP for resolution.

It’s really weird to call yourself an LSU fan and hope for one of the best coaches in LSU Bball history to crash and burn.

For 100th time, the NCAA is not a court of law. They can punish whoever they want however they want, and this case is being handled by the IARP, which has no appeal process.

Can i guess who maybe wrote this without clicking in it?

Why wait until the season is about to begin to start this stuff up again?

Not good.. just gave OSU a post season ban for a 300$ payment to a player (not a recruit) 5 years ago

This may be true, but it is also true they have been dragged into a court of law before. They better make sure they have their ducks in a row.

Oklahoma State was notified today that they won’t be allowed to participate in the NCAA tournament this season all because of a current player receiving 300.00.
I’ll be shocked if they don’t come down hard on LSU.

Because it gives Pat Forde clicks.
Pretty much every singe LSU article he's written has come on:
- the day of a big game
- after a big win
- the eve a big recruit making a decision
- SEC media days
- season opener
- march madness bracket show
The VAST majority of his Wade articles consist of about 5% new news, if that, and 95% rehashing of things he said in 2018. The majority of his wade pieces as a whole are him just reupping essentially the exact same article from 2019.

hes not an lsu fan he hates wade bc he may be a better coach than O and he can't have that. He hates johnson because woodward hired him. He hates woodward bc he knew he would get rid of O. He said mulkey wasn't a big hire so he hates her too. He loves O and thats it. He may as well be a bama fan with how much he hates lsu sports.
I warned him in September that the ensuing weeks would be unsettling for him. Now, sadly, we are all watching it unravel for him.

quote:hes probably cutting himself with how much hatred he has for woodward firing his hero. Its almost sad to watch him and topwater trout still hang out to O's nutsack with every once of strength they have left.
