yea, I'm down for a new arena. Although, I do think it's pretty cool that the PMAC holds 13K (for big games at least), and Cameron Indoor only holds 9K
Build a replica of Cameron Indoor and ban the shitty students. Make money off every seat and bring back alumni who know how to be real basketball fans.

The ramps and exterior walk way have to go. They are pointless. Just put stairs up

Why? What’s the big deal about exterior wall way and the ramps? Y’all are all in agreement so I’m sure y’all have valid reasons, it just never occurred to me that those were a problem.

There were a flurry of rumors a few mths ago that WW & JA were having issues over what WW felt JA promised him in the way of PMA upgrades; as in WW felt he was promised significant upgrades, not half assed ones.

Dammit. If JA screws this up and pisses Wade off....

It's not so much that they're a problem in and of themselves (at least not to me, it's that they take up a TON of real estate, and lead up to a very narrow concourse, in order to make a nicer concourse and/or entryway, they have to go imo

Anyone know specifically what property he might be alluding to? Is there spare land toward River Rd where a PMAC replacement could go? Or maybe at the Ag Center site?

Use the golf course. It sucks anyway.

Cincinnati is redoing their arena and IMO this would be a great look for the PMAC or new arena. It would have plenty of premium seating.

But that's an arena AND training facilities... If LSU went the route of tearing down the PMAC and putting a new area there, probably wouldn't cost that much because we wouldn't be building a training facility as we already have one

A major renovation to the pmac would not be worth the trouble build a brand new facility would be better for Lsu and the basketball program for the future for any coach they hire or any cruit they bring in

Yea, we can only renovate the PMAC so many times. Bite the bullet for a new arena.

It is not just about the age. Cameron is a glorified high school gym. I would not want one like that. Rupp holds 24,000 people. Nothing obsolete about Rupp. Phogg Allen kind of in between.
you're making my point for me.

All arenas are different, but an old "glorified high school gym" is among the very best in the country. Why is that?

It's the winning product on the floor. Which packs the house and generates energy and noise.

It's not because the students sit close, although that's a cool thing.

It's because Duke wins.

If we renovate the PMAC, it'd have to be a complete gut-job and fascia-makeover. Something like this would be awesome:
