. I hope this is a joke? Dude I went to a rodeo in there when I was in high school and it was a dump then, 30 years ago. I can only imagine what kind of shape it is in now.

Yeah, it was well lit and I agree not as bad as the moniker would suggest. Like I said, I think it mostly got called that due to its location, how to access it, and the fact it felt so closed in due to size and not having any windows/natural light to it.

Yup. It was kind of neat though. If I recall correctly, if you entered the pic on ground level entrance on the track &field side nearest to the indoor T&F facility, there is a hallway on the left. The hallway is basically a long curved ramp that goes down into the dungeon. It feels almost like you’re going down into the guts of the building.

Anyone know what happened to the dungeon (old practice court that is underground)?

It's the practice facility for LSU Volleyball.

LSU volleyball moved into a new state-of-the-art locker room facility off the southwest corridor starting in 2011. Decorated by numerous graphics showcasing the program’s prominent history, the fully carpeted facility features locker, film, equipment and training rooms.

The auxiliary gym located underground in the north section of the arena was converted to a volleyball only practice facility leading into the 2010 season. Volleyball fans also can see a redesigned concourse with video and graphic displays, renovated concession stands and video kiosks showcasing the best of the sports that play in the building.
