What wasn't included in that list was any player that signed an NIL contract. Those athletes, by definition, are professional. I guess he forgot that part.

Im not saying you're wrong, but i read through the players association bylaws or whatever, and it only stipulated travel, lodging and meals were covered for UDFA rookies. Which to me is still enough. Only veterans were guaranteed a per diem in these minicamps

It was worded very poorly, but I believe that means that underclassmen who declare, not those who are "out" of eligibility.

In the real world the guys that are not on a NFL roster today are nothing more than 5th yr college players. Pyburn is now an NFL player just like Josh Thompson and W. Weeks. Wright and Harris are not on a NFL roster today. Those 2 are not NFL players. They won't be playing on Sundays. They are not good enough. They won't even be starters at LSU.
