Will this team make the NCAA Tournament ?

I have to admit I was caught off guard with how high our RPI is. During Saturday's game the announcers talked about how high LSU's should be to not worry about the selection show the night before,etc.
Of course winning the tournament in Hoover will ensure a berth just like happened in 2010. But while this may be a one year dip, this team has shown a propensity to blow some leads late in the game.

At this point my guess is no. Prior to the Ole Miss series we needed to go 6-6 (5-7 at worst) to make it.
Based on our remaining series (Arkansas, Bama, Auburn) I'd say we may not hit that mark.
We need to go 5-4 in the last 3 series to hit the mark.
ETA: If we can sweep a terrible Bama team we would just need to scrape together 2 wins out of 6 games with Arkansas and Auburn. Both Hilliard starts give us at least a fighting chance.

What did they say the RPI needs to be?
IMHO opinion, the SEC gets 10 teams in. Right now, Tenn and Bama look to be out of SEC tourney, which leaves Mizzou, SC, MSU, and LSU fighting for last 2 sopts.
At minimum, will take 5-4 finish, and a W in SEC tourney.

I have a very hard time believing this team doesn't at least a have a little late season mini-run in them. You can go ahead and mark me down for "yes" they will make a regional.

I believe they go 5-1 over the next two weekends. No reason to believe they can’t beat Arkansas 2 out of 3 and sweep Bama at home. If that happens then that would put them at 15 wins in the SEC which should get you in and would leave the Auburn series and Hoover for positioning and if they go on a run a host possibilty. Arkansas and Auburn are top ten rpi teams. You go 3-3 in those two series and the rpi will be good enough.

Finishing 6-4 would give them 16 conference wins. That should be good enough for a 2 seed.

I believe they said it needed to be under 30 to host a regional, not make the tournament.

Arky is at home and just got swept by State a couple of weekends ago. No reason to think they can’t win that series and you would just need to take one at Auburn also doable.
