Will this 2019 FB team rival 2011’s team

This is the most talented team we have had since 2011. I believe we are better at QB than 2011. I think getting an Ed Ingram back would boost the OL to past the 2011 OL. This defense is just going to be down right nasty!! Thoughts??

Surely the main focus has been the OL for Joey. It’s lack of continuity and/or personnel was our Achilles last year without question.

Most likely not. That was the best LSU team of all time and had the best regular season in school history by a huge margin. If the OL and RB improve they could come close.

It all starts with the Lines. Last year the OL was a weakness and the DL was less than impressive. Kids get better but I don't expect our DL or OL to be close to the talent we had on the 2011 team. That said, the upgrade at the QB position along with what appears to be a legit offensive strategist will make this team a play off contender.

Not in my opinion. We will be very good but not elite. The 2011 team blew out very good teams.

Two totally different teams. 2011 was the best defense in the history of LSU with the best playmaker in the history of LSU. Not to mention what might have been the best special teams unit in LSU history. People forget how ridiculous Brad Wing was and Alleman was very good too to go with Mathieu.
This years team is all about the offense. Not just because of LSU struggles but also because of how the game has changed since 2011. You cannot win a championship today with average offense.
