I don't know what game you were watching. We did NOT blow JSU out. The punt return was a back breaker, but the offense went cold after the 2nd quarter rush. The 3rd string QB completed a single screen pass in garbage time. The backup went 0fer in the second half, after an excellent 3 drives in the 2nd quarter.
The defense is porous, although stingy on points. I've never been a fan of "bend but don't break" - I like a smothering defense like we had in 2011, but those days seem so remote now. If they do not improve on 1st and 3rd down efficiency, we are going to get gobs of points on us in SEC play - points that our offense is not constructed to make up I might add.
Etling could save Miles' job and get him to 140 wins - which I think is his career goal for LSU and he will retire shortly after that milestone (pardon the pun) is reached.

It was a prediction, not a reflection. My score was close (again). The manner in which we got there wasn't at all. To be fair though, I was basing that on Fournette and Harris playing all game.

No need to backslide. I never left. I'm still hoping he'll keep the team improving and record wins.
Before the season I felt that he needed an SEC championship and a playoff appearance to deserve his job. I still feel that way. I guess I could imagine some scenarios in which he doesn't quite meet that mark but still deserves to stay, but that's about what it should require.
So there you go - I'm still hoping that good man succeeds. If he doesn't, I'm for negotiating his retirement and treating him most honorably for the rest of his life.

I was a staunch Miles supporter prior to this season. It will take a lot more than a win over a team like Jacksonville St to make me a believer.
Lets see how the starting QB situation plays out, and how many more games we win this season before we start talking about contract extensions.

Yes, after the Wisky loss- you are right.

his utter failure to address the glaring issues
I think you are wrong here. He did pull Harris, and let the offense open up a little. I wouldn't call it a failure to address issues, I would call him a little late to the party.

Perfectly stated. These two things are not mutually exclusive.
The issue seems to be the Miles haters feeling their oats and celebrating what seems inevitable.

Yes. They have no brains. Too busy nurturing their always positive emotions to be able to think and analyze.

Soooooo
Do we hear from the pumpers that:
1. The refs screwed us
2. If we win out, we can still win the SEC and therefore make the playoffs
3. Les is the best coach in the history of the program
Also, I predict the backslide (which was VERY evident going into Aubbie) will, once again, gain momentum after the Missouri win (assuming we win).
