No. Especially not if they included the NCs they THINK they won...

Call it something else if you want, history is ours to keep for ever and ever. Show our history always. Before and after the a new stadium. Every year has it own idenity. It's TIME to improve our history.

Maybe not necessarily intimidated per se, but I'd certainly be in awe and a tad bit envious. The goal is to win championships. When you win them, no one can take that away, and they should be displayed proudly for all to see. When you have a run like we had in the 90's, you should definitely display something like that prominately, because it's likely something that will NEVER be done again by any program in any major sport. It was truly a period to be remembered and celebrated forever.

Then this whole conversation is silly. We either display our titles, or don't. Since everyone agrees that we should, what are we even talking about? We already do that.

We have a sign that does exactly that. It's not obnoxious, it's a sign ... a sign ... a frickin' sign that we're talking about.

wrong. the conversation is about the intimidator. people who dont want the intimidator never said they arent in favor of displaying our championships throughout the stadium. you made that jump on your own. they just dont want that ugly thing up.

LSU fans are so fricking stupid sometimes. That wall was awesome. Its the history of a great baseball program. Its a tribute to the greatness of LSU baseball. Just because you have a few down years you want to take it down? Put it up and add more to it. I guess yall should take that 58 championship flag down too? Or let someone wear #20 since it was 50 years ago since Cannon played? Get real i cant believe this fan base is complaining that the was a wall the displayed national championships. LSU fans are the best and the worst.

You pretty much just repeated everything that was already said in this thread. Nice contribution.

the circle of champions thing they're putting in will look a lot nicer than the intimidator imo.

Hope people realize the new stadium will have a HOF and the flags of each championship should be in center field just like at the old Box.

the billboard, thats what it was a billboard-not a sign, is a little too much. list the championships on the outfield wall or some flags, but i can live without a big billboard with a tiger on it.

And I thank you for it. But go back and read what was previous said, it'll take 30 secs. You don't really understand what we're saying but you still want to call us stupid?

Yes, the last title was a LONG 8 years ago but does that mean those accomplishments shouldn't be recognized? Guess we should remove the flags from Tiger Stadium showing off the 58 & 03 National Championships, I mean 58? Who even remembers 1958. Most of the fans in the stadium weren't even alive in 58. And the 03 NC...that was almost 6 years ago & another coach, let's pull that old rag down.

Did I suggest anything of the sort?

What I suggested was that, to a kid that's 18 seeing a billboard that declares titles from the 90's is not exactly INTIMIDATING. Why would it be? Would we expect our football program to be intimidated by a huge sign near Nebraska's stadium that declares their two titles in the 90's? I sure as shite hope not.

Which titles do you think are more relevent to recruits and opposing players...the ones from 2003 and 2007...or 1958? It's not even debateable, so you can quit being so obtuse.

A programs's history is VERY important...and most certainly should be chrerished, so of course those titles should be displayed. But to slap them up and declare it intimidating is simply being a homer. There's nothing intimidating about a program history unless it's recent enough to reflect the state of the current program.

The titles from the 1990's are not.

Here's hoping the guys are able to add another to that long and prestigeous list after this campaign...

Made so by you, in fact.

The discussion was never about whether or not we want to display our titles...you know, they way we do in football on the scoreboards and flags. the issue was whether or not we wanted a giant arse billboard slapped into right field...you know, The Intimidator.

When it went up, it was just that...intimidating. As was the whole "Program of the Decade" that was emblazened across the top of the dugouts. Should we keep that there too? Program of the decade...1990's edition?

You turned this into a needless debate when you felt the need to accuse those of us who don;t want to drag the old billboard down the street into sniveling babies who hate our history.

My opinion: The sign is cool and most visitors share that sentiment (if you don't realize that, then you've never brought an out-of-towner in for an LSU baseball game). Our run of titles in the 90's leading up to 2000 was and still remains awesome. It was one of the most amazing accomplishments in the history of college baseball, and it is actually VERY RECENT history, given this sport has been around over 100 years. I actually think the sign should be bigger, fwiw.

Your opinion is different.

We'll have to agree to disagree about the sign.

The intimidator is part of LSU baseball IMO, I hope they move it over to the new ball park. I cant imagine watching games without it.
