all of spring and fall practice. He played qb in the spring game.
All spring and all fall he played QB? And the best play we could come up with was a run directly up the middle?
I guess thats why our OC makes the big bucks.

“Nothing groundbreaking, but my friend regularly plays basketball with one of RS' old high school coaches. The coach keeps in regular contact with RS and often talks to my buddy about it. He said he just talked to RS a week or so ago and RS was told by Miles that he will not, in any way, be involved in the QB picture for next year. He said that RS is pissed beyond belief and still feels cheated. If there was a way to transfer with no sitting out, he'd do it. He was promised a fair shake at QB and he doesn't feel like he got anywhere close to a fair shake. I'm sure the coach is biased, but he said that there is no way that RS was having problems with the playbook. He said the kid has an extremely high football IQ and is a natural gamer. RS has never spoken bad of the coaches or his fellow teammates, he just feels like he is not getting the chance to prove what he can do."

Will Russell Shepard ever be the starting QB at LSU?
Posted on 1/27/10 at 5:33 pm to CypTiger11
I dont believe this if he wanted to pkay qb that bad he would transfer. RS said himself he would play wherever the coaches wanted him to play. It was also stated he asked to move to wr during the season.

This is fricking retarded as all hell. He didn't know where to line up when playing QB? What the frick, is he Adrian McPherson putting his hands up the guard's arse? Dumb shite.
He was lied to. Plain and simple. Now he'll be like Trindon getting 30 touches a season for his entire career. Meanwhile, LSU will run option with a guy who didn't run at all in high school. Awesome.

No. Where have you been?
Posted on 1/27/10 at 5:56 pm to TheBob
Get over it. He was told he would be given a shot, not the job. If he doesn't like the chance he got, well, he can transfer. But chances are, he's not gonna play QB at a BCS conference school aside from the bottom feeders. And he knows it.
His chance wasn't good enough? I don't care. He has every right to pop off to his friends and they can take up for him here, but I saw nothing from him that indicated he could play QB in the SEC. He's an explosive athlete, but his future lies at WR or RB. And in his heart of hearts, RS knows it. He wasn't lied to. He got a shot. He's EVEN TAKEN SNAPS at QB. There is no rational way for him to argue he was not given a shot at QB.
Oh, and get in the weight room.

Have you seen this from any QB on our roster? Good Lord, can it possibly be worse?

he'll start at wr one day. jj, lee, and garret's arm strength is superior to shep's

100% inaccurate and fabricated. Shep asked to be moved. He has no interest in QB anymore.

shep asked to touch the ball. and he is explosive with it in his hands.

complete bullshite
but he knows the coaches aren't going to let him pass in a real game, so he acts like he doesn't want to be a qb anymore.

I think he needs to start somewhere, anywhere, this kid is too good to waste
