How about a WR...
What part about showing an opposing defense a new wrinkle don't you understand? Defensive game planning is solely based on plays, formations & personnel groupings that are already on film. When an offense shows a defense a new wrinkle, something they haven't prepared for, the opportunity for a big play significantly increases.

But Burrow is pretty explosive.
Burrow is a good runner but he is nowhere near the explosive category.

I don’t think parrish is some insane athlete. He’s good but he isn’t Russel Shepard either
He’s not Taysom Hill athletic.
So what do we get putting him out there instead of a WR?
Hill is way. Ore of an athlete that can throw a little than a QB who is athletic.
That’s not the case with Parrish.
Hill had 7 passes all season. He completed 2 from the shotgun and1 was the upback on a punt take.
It’s not like we needed him as a passer lined up wide. He’s just big strong and fast.

I remember a game in Provo, when Taysom put up about 900 yards on the Longhorns. Good times!

His quickness & change of direction is better than Burrow's.

Shepard has nothing to do with conversation.

Who is but

Day 1 of LSU's Elite Camp is in the books and the Tigers had a rising 2019 quarterback on campus working out for the staff in Phoenix City (Ala.) signal caller Peter Parrish. The 6-1, 199-pound quarterback blazed a 4.5 40-yard dash and 4.43 short shuttle.
that's pretty damn fast for a QB. The short shuttle shows the ability to change directions quickly.

Just cause he’s black doesn’t mean he should become a damn receiver. This guy can throw the football and we have enough receivers.
You're the only tard that made this about race.

Different =\= good.
What’s he gonna do?
This thread is literally asking if we will use him like Hill and realistically we won’t. Hill isn’t athletic for a QB, he’s athletic for an NFL player.
We don’t need a running QB to sub our starter and he isn’t an elite athlete that’s worth working in as a WR.
Simply put Shepard and Hill are athletic enough to justly running “gadget” plays for. Idk is Parrish is so athletic that it’s worth taking the ball out of Joe’s hands
.
If you wanna run a trick play for a WR pass I would Just find your best passing WR. shite CEH threw a good ball last year.

I remember the same idiotic responses & opinions on Saints Talk when Sean Payton first began implementing Taysom Hill into the Saints offense. But why is Payton taking the ball out of Brees' hands!!!!

Posted on 8/2/19 at 11:55 am to BigBrod81
Tayson can run a Read Option that Brees cannot.
He is also one of the fastest people on the team.
Neither of these situations apply to Parrish at LSU.

I mean, I enjoy watching Hill play but has he really brought anything of offensive value to the team?
Posted on 8/2/19 at 11:58 am to CaptainPanic
hes basically a RB who is our Wildcat QB
Except we just run read options and not he actual wildcat.

Zone read. So are you implying that Brees is not a mobile QB as well?

So is Ted Ginn.

No, I understand how they use him. I just don’t think he’s really been remotely close to a game changing asset.

Not all value can be seen just in statistical terms. Simpletons just can't seem to grasp the concept that a different chess piece on the field, can cause opposing chess pieces to move or react differently, opening up opportunities for other players.

Is that not on option play?
Drew Bree’s at 40 is not Mobile enough to run an option in the NFL. I am Not implying it, I am Saying it.

So is Ted Ginn.
And? Gunn missed 11 games and weights 40 pounds less than Taysom. So again not the same player. Isn’t a RB.
quote:
Only to a narrow minded buffoon.
The Gap between Brees and Hill athletically is waaaaaaaay bigger than the GAO between Burrow and Parrish. If you watch football you’d know that.
Hill is an insane athlete that you find ways to get on the field.
Is Parrish? No he’s an athletic QB.

I understand the concept. I’m asking about the results.
How many snaps has he taken and what type of benefits have the Saints received from those snaps?

It wouldn’t surprise me to see a package for him

What can we do with parish that we cannot do with Burrow?
Besides double passes.

Get him touches for what?
Posted on 8/2/19 at 12:11 pm to CaptainPanic
Adding a Read Option is pretty sweet.
He’s not a game changer but he is a great weapon.
