go dig through the TB archives or ask anyone who was a member at the time. Start a new thread on it if you must. That was reported. Sorry it doesn't conform to your argument.

Part of me thinks Miles knows the stakes are much higher now than at the end of last season. The end of last season, we came off a NC and in a lot of tiger fans' eyes the guy could do no wrong.

WELL, I think it's unanimous that he knows the Co-DC thing was a bust, and with a $4M salary I would think he would do the very best for his job security -- I think he knows this is not Okie St. and there is a lot on the line if he makes a bad hire and LSU has another lack luster season next year.

That being said, I hope he gets Yaw Yaw here!!

The only way Les makes the hire is if the higher ups and/or boo$ter$ make him. Les is too damn stubborn.

Obviously a very well thought out question with no attempt at flaming involved.

Whatever happened to all of the people on here who made fun of Orgeron incessantly? Is he cool now?

Actually, he didn't pat me on the back. He asked me how I thought the team would do, and (apparently realizing that I hadn't recognized him) asked me what I thought about our quarterback position.

and he was clearly never coming here. You are a fricking idiot, please stop talking. Are you going to quiz me next on which former WR coach was also rumored as a candidate?

Maximus is a sad case in real life. But he has this alter ego on the internet that is the only sensible human on the Rant and is therefore much more wise than "fans" who "support" their team and give a coach who WON A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP the benefit of the fu*king doubt.

Maximus, go enjoy life a little bit. We were a young team with a young QB, a bad experiment at DC and lacking senior leadership. Things will be better in 2009. It's OK to admit.

I meeeaaaaaan...dude, are you serious? You've been on here long enough to know that people hate any idea that doesn't agree with their own ...positive OR negative.

BTW...what is outside the box about any of this topic. It's just an opinion as weird as any of the others on the Rant.

What Kiffin has working to his advantage, however, are his age, his NFL experience and his staff, which will reportedly include his dad, legendary NFL defensive coach Monte Kiffin, and former Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron -- one of the nation's top recruiters -- who is currently with the New Orleans Saints, but worked with Kiffin at USC.

Not really. Buffoonish antics plus a dismal failure in his position make for a perfectly legitimate (and potentially humorous) target for mockery. I don't recall anybody making much fun of him when he was in a position where he was successful (that is, when he was a DL coach).
