DiNardo knew Rodriguez would never stay long, so he tried to make more of a "long term" hire and it backfired on him.

And how! NEVER assume any hire is "long-term."

So by your logic, Miles should not have retained Jimbo Fischer to run his offense or hired Bo Pelinni to be DC.
Weren't both of these guys pretty hot commodities and probably knew more about their sides of the ball that Miles?

because you are too stupid and spineless to have an original thought or take a position on anything without first finding out how Miles feels on it.
So waiting to take a position on what Miles will or will not do until you actually find out what he will or will not do is -- in your estimation -- "stupid and spineless"? As opposed to your inclination to speculate baselessly on the reasons and consequences of what Miles will or will not do before even finding out what Miles will actually do? And this is supposed to make your approach seem wiser?

LSU should hire Maximus to coach the team. He obviously knows everything

yes because clearly if you question an unfallable coach like Miles it means that you think you think you should be the coach. Rantardology 101

it was reported as fact.
So it was reported on tigerbait.com by Mike S or some other reporter on the site that Miles was definitely promoting Monken and definitely hiring Applewhite to be co-coordinators. bullshite. Nice attempt at a lie though.

Remember the MSU game when the TV crew showed McConnell in the press box - with no headset on- while Dinardo was on the sidelines with a headset? While we were on offense!
I

I think McConnel was taking a Roman Holiday on that series.

His official reason was that he only needed a few more years in the Michigan educational system to draw a good pension when he retired. He was close to retirement age.
Well, if that was the reason he gave it was probably crap. He was coaching college for several more years after that, and is still coaching today (albeit in high school in Oklahoma, apparently).

This wouldn't surprise me a bit. Those tea leaves were about 40 feet tall, spelling out "TEPPER SUCKS" in glowing neon letters.

I really don't think Tepper or Dinardo noticed that one bit.

Can Miles see past his ego to make the best moves possible for LSU? I doubt it.
So without having a clue what Miles will actually do, you have already made the assertion that he won't AND that it will be because of Miles' "ego".

Yep, that takes REAL "spine". Nothing rantardish about that AT ALL.

What's strange about the Tepper deal, was that the players all seemed to like Tepper alot. He was a pretty good recruiter as well.
I actually met McConnell a few times. How the guy got to coach college football at the d-1 level is beyond me. Think used car salesmen.

I "doubt" means that I assert he won't? Hmmm. Learn something new every day.
