NEVER. I no longer root for SEC teams because the SEC doesn't do a damned thing to help LSU, even when LSU wins the conference and goes undefeated. frick THE SEC! frick BAMA!

And it makes no sense. A birthday is guaranteed for someone each year, and there's nothing you can do about it. Is Alabama guaranteed a national championship each year?
It's just a jab, GCT. You don't have to analyze it quite this much. I just mean you're being a baby, that's all. The neighbor's kid has more toys than you, and you're ________ about it.

And as of "getting over it", I am. I was over the loss an hour after it happened.
I was telling you to get over somebody calling you BH since it was three days ago.

But I'm not going to root something that is not in the best interest to LSU like you for the sake of irrelevant and nonsensical conference "pride".
Well, I never said anything about conference pride, though I do enjoy watching SEC football and enjoy rooting for the SEC's teams against teams from other conferences and regions. It's actually just LSU pride, honestly. We all can reasonably assume that LSU will win (more than) its share of SEC titles for the rest of our lives, and once in a blue moon, the Tigers will win a national title. Whether Alabama wins or loses this year will not change that. LSU is gonna win a bunch of games and a few trophies no matter what Alabama does this year. You and those thinking like you are needlessly obsessing over Alabama's next three or four games. It just isn't a big deal like you think it is.

Florida waxed Ohio State. Good. Ohio State ended up being a corrupt program, and it's interesting how ironic it is that the most pious conference commissioner there is ended up presiding over corruption scandals at his three banner schools in Ann Arbor, Columbus, and State College. I rooted for Florida. frick Ohio State and all the other arrogant, regionalist pricks in Big Ten country.

LSU beat Ohio State soundly. Good. I'm an LSU fan.

Florida beat Oklahoma. Good. Oklahoma is coached by one of the louder mouths when it comes to tweaking the SEC, and it was good to see him get whipped a second time by a team from a conference that he seems to think is overrated.

Alabama beat Texas. Good. Neither fan base is more obnoxious than the other, I suppose, but I was rooting for the SEC over the Big 12 that night. Not fervently, but I was pleased with the result.

Auburn beat Oregon. Good. frick those hippies. I'm not too annoyed by the uniform gimmicks, but I kinda don't want it to "work."

Alabama beat LSU. That's a shame.

Alabama beat Notre Dame. Good. There's no better way I can put it: Notre Dame is just about the gayest team to root for. "Fighting Irish, Bro! Love my Irish!" Shut up, Corey. You're from Shreveport, and your family is Methodist.

Other than 1/9/12, there's just not a game result I would change if I could. I like the fact that the team who won won and the team who lost lost. Not a big deal, but I'm pleased with all the results save one.

Alabama vs. Florida State? I've always hated Florida State. It was always a dirty team with a coach who seemed to look the other way and play dumb. Their fans are playing the "no respect" card, which makes no sense since they're a shoe-in for the title game if they win out. So frick 'em. I hope those crybabies lose because they're being crybabies.

Alabama vs. Ohio State? Douche coach, dirty program with a bunch of criminals on the team, and a conference filled with The Esteemed Residents of Mount Pious. RTR.

Alabama vs. Baylor? That'd be great if Baylor won. It would be really fun to see them win.

Alabama vs. Stanford? I guess I wouldn't mind seeing Stanford win because I love that hard style of play they play, but I suppose I'd be neutral.

I guess that, all in all, I root for the SEC not because of conference pride, but because frick you.

Funny, I was about to make just that analogy but take the opposite stance on it. I'm twice the age of some high school athletes now, so it's much easier to look at it the way I look at it: if my high school loses in the playoffs and there's a team from my area (not necessarily district) still in the bracket, I always root for them.

I'm in my 30's now, and the way I root for college sports is very similar to the way I root for high school sports (which is kind of the way it's supposed to be--not to sound like a dickhole about it).

No way. I want as many trailer parks in Alabama as possible to experience a meltdown in early 2014.

No way. I hate bama! I live in lower Alabama(Pensacola). I don't know where all the bama flags came from. When saban first went to Alabama, I never saw any sign of the gumps! They have a lot of band wagon fans!

I am not convinced this Bama team has the tools to make it to the championship this year.

If they meet Florida State - it will be very difficult for them to win. It's a very poor matchup for them. Winston is the real deal, folks. FSU is back and here to stay.

I would root for either one of those- fl st, no reason not to....ohio state, I have a great friend who is an alumni. I want to puke each time I see a "got 14" t-shirt and wouldnt be far off from the crazy house if I had to endure a year of the "got 15"
