Politics is a tough sport....the LSU administration has been poor at it...they should be trying to gain some other schools to work with them towards some common goals...
Exactly, if LSU, A&M, and UF took a stand then some changes might take place. MIGHT.

Do other schools complain about bama's schedule?
Do the other schools in the West that have to play South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida (twice) over two years?
Look at the other teams in the West:
Auburn is a rival with Georgia, so they're not on our side.
aTm doesn't want to lose Mizzou right now because they're a W, so they're not on our side.
Ole Miss doesn't want to lose Vandy, same reasons as aTm
Miss State doesn't want to lose Kentucky, same reasons as aTm
Arkansas? Maybe. They get SC and would like to play a natural geographical rival for a change (Mizzou)
So basically, most of the SEC has their mouths shut on this because their golden goose might get cooked too. Not because they believe it is "fair."

Of course!! Before Arky totally melted down they saw the bias. UF to a point. A&M will soon see the similarities between Bama and UT.

And that's the only reason why the Mississippi schools are in Alabama's back pocket on this. Do you think they want to lose their "natural rivals," Vanderbilt and Kentucky?
Exactly! What SEC school wouldn't want LSU and Florida to play every year?
eta. The schedule imbalance affects LSU's national title aspirations so we have a reason to bitch. The other schools just want an easier SEC win and don't really give a shite if Bama has an easier path.

UF is with us on this guys. It was no GD accident that the two good teams in the West and East with the weakest cross rivalries ended up in Atlanta. Do you think Georgia would have ever survived having USC schedule?
This annual schedule bullshite is all about giving Bama the weakest possible cross conference schedule. If UT wins 10 games in 2013 they will not be playing Bama in 2014. Bank on it

This is the point that most don't get. I really don't see how things are going change. No other school really has an interest in changing things up. Vandy, Ole Miss, Miss St and Ky all see each other as wins (or possible wins). That's a block of 4 schools that will always vote with Alabama, UT, Auburn and UGA (the 4 teams that make up the 2 protected rivalries).

I have an idea...Just beat Alabama in November and all this schedule talk is moot.
We are so obsessed with Alabama's schedule as if they have such a huge advantage. If we beat them, another L on our W-L record doesn't matter in a tie-breaker. If we lose 2 games, then we don't deserve any post-season grace; it would just be lagniappe.

Its really amazing that so many of our fans will stick their heads in the sand just to be cornholed again by the SEC schedule makers. I'm beginning to think that some of you like to be cornholed. Is that right? You like to be cornholed?

If ya want to be a winner, ya have got to think like a winner! Let's face it, in football, Blammer has had more experience at it over time...and Shorty learned well while at LSU....you can fight the truth, but that doesn't change it. But a couple of back-to-back Championships might give LSU some force behind the argument. I know I've got my fingers crossed on both hands. This year could surprise on the up-side. Geaux Tigers!

I think if people say the word cornhole enough in everyday language and with a straight face it will be enough to change the SEC scheduling committee's mindset.

That's not the point. The point is that LSU fans are actually defending the schedule because if it was in fact "unfair," more teams would be against it. That is freaking ignorant!

Please elaborate on what exactly it is that we, as fans, can do about this.

before Saban got at Bama all of this shite didn't even exist. My opinion is give it some time Saban will be gone and balance will once again occur. Everything is just magnified now b/c Saban is there, Bama is very successful, LSU is semi-successful, so naturally its gonna be a bitchfest between the two schools.

so you do like to just set back and be cornholed?
Publicity is the best thing that can be done.
Shine the light of truth on this shite, mofo.

In 2011, we beat Alabama and made the championship game. This proves my point. If we win against Bama, the schedule doesn't matter.
If you are assuming Bama would have lost to someone else during 2011 regardless of the opponent, that is wishful thinking. They would have beat anyone else.
It comes down to beating Bama in November every year.

as if they have such a huge advantage
In the last 8 yrs, Fla is 83-21 while Vols are 52-48.
I know which one of those 2 teams would offer me the best shot to win the west if they were on my schedule.
Hey, you play who you play, but we talking east scheduling to an even playing field to the west title....right.
