Relax, luke is a cool dude. Even being a network data system technician like he was in the Marines is something special. It's a cool story

Are they even going to take him along?
Isn't the team restricted to 85 uniformed players?

"doesn't play the kid"
I would be hard pressed to call a 27 year old husband and father a kid...not some 19 year old we are taking about here...

more appropriate is "play the Marine"...
there is another issue, he's on a pre-commissioning track, what happens if he gets hurt and is unable to get commissioned, much less stay in the Marine Corps?
I certainly wouldn't want to be the Line of Duty investigating officer in that instance...he could be totally screwed for the rest of his life...

Maybe Les will let it come down to a team vote.
I just hope the Marine dont get kicked in the face.

Per a USMC member of the ROTC cadre, he got in a play or two on special teams...I asked the question during Salutes weekend
The clown is playing walk-ons now? No wonder we lost 4 games.
Just trying to fit in more.

Will Les Miles let the Marine play?
Since he did not play against SH St, ULM, NM St. Kentucky or for that matter at the end of the Auburn game I would venture a guess of no.
Thank you Luke for your service.

August Mangin was a walk on (yeah I know no one knows who he is). He actually got playing time and got a National Championship ring in '07. So, it does happen.
After graduation, he was an assistant coach at LSU but is now in Natchitoches as a special teams coach.

Kansas State plays plenty of walk-ons...3 or 4 start on defense.
They are a higher ranked team than LSU...& Should have beat Auburn(20-14) but missed 3 FG's & dropped a TD

Marines earn everything they accomplish. If he's earned the right to get into the game then he should see the field. But just because he's a Marine the entitlement here shouldn't get him on the field. He would be taking away playing time from the guys who have worked just as hard as him and are more talented. He's a great story already and should stick to what he's done so far.

But critizing a coach because he won't play a walk-on is probably the most rediculous criticism in a long line of stupidity that was shown by LSU fans on here this week.
I don't think he is criticizing him for a walk-on but for not playing a marine. I believe you are the ridiculous one for not seeing this.

Just because he's a marine doesn't earn him the right to play LSU football. I'm a marine and I want to play. Do I get to? shite no. If he is good enough he should play, if he isn't then he shouldn't. If miles decides to let him play so be it but I don't understand the entitlement here.

Barring an injury to Jennings, the Marine likely stands a better chance of seeing playing time than Harris does, which is still pretty slim.
