So Miles isn't a good guy because he doesn't play walk ons?

It's not just any walk on though is it?
Kind of a special situation

Way to pull one part of my statement out of context. I think everyone can agree that getting a US Marine (not just any walk on) on the field during the game in which he led the team onto the field with the American flag in a 63-0 win would have been a class act thing to do.
Edit - I had the wrong game it was ULM he led the team on the field. Either way, point is the same.
Are you related to the guy or just work in the athletic department, because your adamant defense of him is laughable.

Not really, I'm just tired of hearing how great of a guy Les Miles really is. Yet he can't find a way to get a US Marine that has served time overseas on the field in a 63-0 win...now a QB that was convicted of assaulting a Marine, he gets him back on the field as soon as possible. Just pointing out that Les isn't this great class act everybody pretends he is.
Not true. I saw him at TJ's Ribs and he held the door for his wife. True family man.

I don't have a problem with him playing a play or two and I think it would be cool.
But criticizing a coach because he won't play a walk on is probably the most ridiculous criticism in a long line of stupidity that was shown by LSU fans on here this week.

I have definitely been critical this week about rational things. I have fun pointing out stupidity and irrational criticisms and this board has a lot of that.

It's official. People will take literally anything and turn it into a reason to criticize Miles.
Good lord. I mean, the shitty offense isn't enough? We have to just fabricate more outrage?

With our fan base at this point...here's how this plays out.
- Miles get criticized for not playing him
- If he played him on one play, he'd be criticized for not playing him twice.
- If he played him a couple of plays on kick coverage, he'd be criticized for not playing on punt coverage.
- And when he finally played him on all those and if the guy happened to miss an important tackle, Miles would be ripped for playing a walk-on.
Is there any doubt at this point? It's honestly what makes legit criticism of the man pointless at this point, because most of the garbage that keeps being tossed out here is total and complete horseshite.

Per a USMC member of the ROTC cadre, he got in a play or two on special teams...I asked the question during Salutes weekend

This won't go over well if true.

Would you mind explaining how the two situations are analogous?
As I wrote, it would be a nice gesture if the opportunity presented itself, but it's not something that Miles owes Luke, his family, the Corps, or the fans.
And the Marine who was alledgedly kicked in the face was a shitbag.

Well then, I can check off the first one and we can move right on to #2 or #3 depending on your take.

I'm not criticizing, I'm just pointing out that it would have been the class act thing to do. Since I hear how much of a class act Miles is, it would be nice to see him get the kid on the field. Good for both of them if this was done.

Apparently it was and without knowing that you wrote this anonymously on a message board.

Apparently I'm not the only one that did not think it was done. I'll take David LaCerte's word over someone who anonymously posted on a message board that someone else told him it did happen.
