Are you saying those aren't good records?

Negative amigo. I see no reason as to why LA Tech wouldn't throw their ace tonight. All of your reasons have been dumb and make no sense

Tech has consistently been one of the best G5 teams in baseball since Burroughs has gotten there.
Do you know how many “G5” teams make the postseason?
Do you know how many of those slots have not been filled by La Tech ?

Why would they? Three game series against Tulane the weekend with same rotation; ace pitching Friday. #4 pitcher is good enough to win.

Calling Tec h one of the best mid-majors is a bit of a stretch but they have been very good since Burroughs has been there. Goff had them 42-20 in 2016 which was a huge turnaround, they were terrible before that, usually something like .500 overall, lots of times below .500
165-90 isa very good start for Lane Burroghs at LT. They have been consistently one of the better C-USA teams with him there, yes they only made the tournament once in 4 years possible since he got there, but it doesnt mean they didnt have some really good seasons still. They've been a pretty consistent Top 75 RPI team with him there:
2017 - #47
2018 - #61
2019 - #61
2020 - N/A short season
2021 - #27
They were just on the outside looking in the NCAAT in 2017-2019

Good enough to not be the best team in the conference & regular postseason appearances

They are improved but success is defined by making the postseason for a program like that.

Improved is a massive understatement for what was a .500 and below program before 2016 basically.
They play in the C-USA which is one of the usual top mid-major leagues. Last year the league had 4 teams finish in the Top 35 of RPI, 5 teams finished Top 60. The success isnt only defined by making the NCAAT.
To go from being a .500 type team or doormat mostly to being a consistent Top 65 RPI team recently is a huge improvement and those were some very good teams. They werent far at all from being tournament teams in 2017-2019. I'd say being a #40-#60 RPI team is a better team than getting in the tournament as a auto-bid with an RPI of like 175.
If Louisiana Tech was in a lesser mid major conference instead of C-USA they probably make the tourney a few of those years from 2017-2019.

I know their history, and I’ve followed CUSA for decades lol.
So you think that makes them one of the best G5 teams in college baseball?

So why are you trying to downplay them so much? You know they've had some really good teams the last several years. Since when is making the tournament or not the only indication of a good team? Teams with RPIs in the 200s make the NCAAT, it's not the only indicator by any means of a good team.

I literally said in few posts up calling them one of the best is a stretch, but you are acting like they're nothing because the onyl made the tournament once under their current coach.
Again, since when is finishing in the 40-60 range in RPI not a good baseball team?

posted this before but when I got out of hs I was offered a baseball scholarship to LaTech but I was going to LSU no matter what, at the time Tech was a far and away better baseball program than we were(pre-skip, Southland Conference days,) we haven't exactly been lighting it up for some time, we get a lot of passes because of the Skip era

Not down playing anything. They are what they are. Solid mid major program

LSU whipped Tech twice last season.

I think you underestimate the affect of 40 degree weather on bats as well as turf. No bad hops. No lucky "hits". If it's on the ground you're out. If it's in the air it won't go anywhere in that temperature. Runs will be scored, I just don't expect Maine numbers.
