No. I watched LSU lose a SR to Stoney Brook, at home, with Gausman and Nola on the mound.
Then the Houston debacle.
Then Coastal Carolina.
LSU hasn't been in the winner's bracket in Omaha for 8 years now.
He still hasn't figured out when to pull a pitcher.
I just laugh now and change the channel.
Great coach, but he won't win another one.

[No one knows. We have a veteran lineup and rotation. This weekend shows we can be competitive with two top10 programs. Two losses but experience.
Win at least 20 SEC games and do well in SEC tourney and we will be hosting just like every year. I would rather lose two games this weekend against quality opponents than sweep a weekend series against Central Missouri.}
With the same recurring issues arising this season as in past seasons, expect this team to do well, host, and not go any further.

We have a good team with good coaching just like many other programs. There is nothing there to expect a dominant run.

if he continues to make boneheaded coaching decisions with pitchers? I just don't see it. Great recruiter, good guy, and a good ambassador to the program and school. I had zero doubt he was going to leave Peterson in.

Too much competition in baseball to expect a championship anymore. You gotta have 3 solid pitchers and bats that don't cool off. It's possible but much harder than before. I don't trust him enough to bet on it. We can't even get out of a Super lately.
