Yes, because that makes so much sense.

I isolated as well as I could on the O-line from my DVR'ed copy of the telecast, and as someone else mentioned, guard play was less than good.

The tackles have done well, along with Lonergan. FB's have to be at A- to B+, also.

I have to think Blackwell is playing hurt, and I know Williford was banged up recently. He didn't have a great time holding blocks on Saturday either. Faulk and Hurst are solid, with Faulk looking spectacular at times.

But, to answer your question, no. Haven't heard any word on this, and as injury riddled as the guard position has been this year, I would think Collins would have seen more significant time by now, if the staff knew of further injuries.

I mean, if Magee, Rasco, et al, are burning redshirts, I would think Collins would have definitely been in there with Blackwell hurt.

people find things to have discussions about because
1.) this is a forum for discussion, specifically called rant.
2.) We as fans all typically agree our team rocks therefore it's not interesting to sit around and chest bump, instead we dig for the more interesting stories, kind of like what a news station would do.

that these 2 things elude 90% of the people here amaze me. It's a F O R U M...

not being too negative, but have you noticed the number of no gain/ 1-2 yard running plays we've had lately?

this our run game could definitely improve with the O-line

First off, I think our O-Line has been really good this year; however, if we are critiquing just to critique Blackwell was benched in the Miss St game for Williford as he was getting blown up in that game.

I've watched most of the film multiple times: Faulk right now is playing hurt and not getting the drive block he was earlier or getting to the second level.
T-Bob was the best at getting to the second level but gets blown up every now and then hat on hat. PJ has done a good job, but often gets overlooked or blamed for poor guard play.
Blackwell has really been jackal and Hyde lately and is WAY better on the the right side than left.
Hurst has been the best most consistent O-lineman this year.
Shaw, pleasantly surprisingly good.
Collins?

Thanks for the link to the OL of the Week deal. I saw that, too, and I laughed.

Blackwell's the most talented and versatile interior lineman LSU has. If Blackwell goes down, our interior run game and pass pro suffers. Don't believe me? Look at last year.

If Faulk or Hurst goes down, Shaw can come in and maul folks and has done so this year and last as well.

But Blackwell is a very vital cog in our OL.

He played MUCH better against Florida. I was never trying to dog Will; he's actually I player I really like. He was struggling for a few weeks; guessing he was nicked up. The fact that he was SEC OL of the week AFTER the OP doesn't mean the OP and comments in this thread were untrue. Prom, always thought you were OK despite your hideous avatar. Maybe you're just a jerkoff.
