re: Will Ben Simmons ever be recognized as a true LSU Tiger?

They also claim nobody hates Naz even though the poor kid was shredded all year and on draft night by our rantards. They also claim that all his teammates hated Simmons even though Antonio Blakeney is his best friend and he’s always going down to see Hornsby when he has a free day. These people are gossip queens and this “Simmons hates LSU” is just silly. 4 years, no proof yet the rumor is stronger today than ever. That’s Tiger Rant in a nutshell

. You’re simply ignorant if you really believe that Simmons didn’t play hard. Ben Simmons put up more production and did much more on the court than Zion Williamson and you can’t do that without playing as hard as possible. There isn’t a shred of evidence to support what you’re saying
Do you have any to support what you are saying? He played as hard as possible?
The fact is that’s your opinion. Many disagree. Many feel he coasted especially on D.

Because if you know anything about basketball you know that someone can’t have one of the most productive freshman seasons in history without busting his arse and how did he average 2 steals a game as a power forward and how was his defensive rating so high? No buddy yours isn’t even an opinion it’s plain slanted biased based on lies.

As usual, I think that's a bit far. But, I do agree that the running with the "Simmons hates LSU" Rant catch phrase is ridiculous.

He was average here and made a poor decision to leave. If you think that’s “shredding him”, then I don’t know what to tell you. It’s the truth

Trying to deflect won’t work on me. Either prove your allegation of expose yourself to be full of shite.

I wouldn't say that's shredding him at all, even if I don't agree with all of it.
Posted on 7/4/19 at 10:22 pm to The Pirate King
He was not average here, he outplayed his class ranking and he was one of the 3 most productive freshman bigs in school history. And if you don’t know why he left you shouldn’t be here personally attacking players. You shouldn’t be doing that anyway but doing it without info or just because you’re unfairly biased is worse.

What he said isn’t shredding him but that’s far from the criticism people hit him with this year. Another misleading post.

It’s my opinion Simmons coasted especially on D. I don’t have to prove anything. I went to almost all the home games and that’s what I saw.
You say he busted it. Fine, but that’s your opinion. It certainly isn’t fact.

That’s such an ignorant statement and insulting to anyone who’s ever played basketball. And if you did go to games you know damn well that’s 100% untrue so I have my doubts. Do you know how many top talents half arse it or coast and are still successful in the SEC? Zero that’s how many, if you have no respect for the game it’s cause you’re ignorant about what it is.

I know one that did, Simmons.
Your opinion is worth as much as mine, nothing.

Mine isn’t an opinion that’s the point. You can’t do what Ben Simmons did by sleepwalking or doing anything other than working your tail off, that isn’t an opinion, it’s a fact. Hell averaging 11 rebounds takes more effort alone that you’re willing to admit, if it could be done by half assing it we’d have somebody doing it every season. The facts just aren’t on your side here but if you want rumor and gossip to from you opinions answer me this, who else played harder on that team or since?

I find it absolutely amazing that a guy who I could beat in a free throw shooting contest gets a nearly $200M contract.
Short white boys would dominate.

Rumor and gossip?
I just went to the games.
The guy coasted at times. His D was half arse. He played matador D most of the time.
The guy is a superb athlete, he’s s great passer, sees the court very well; however, he rested on D, he has no shot outside the paint and unless he develops one he won’t reach his full potential on O. On D he’s just not that good. He needs to work on it.

You’re right he can’t shoot but you don’t have the level of success he had on D without effort, you just don’t. Let me run a thought by you and sorry for any hostility during our convo, but when I first saw him for the home opener I had never seen a guy that big move that fast and cover that much ground. Is it possible that being such a great athlete he appeared effortless? Sometimes it can create that illusion, I know the first time I saw Jordan I didn’t believe he was fast, he was so smooth it didn’t look fast, plus the black shoe affect. Could that be what you saw?

Y’all can pump up Ben Simmons all day, but the truth is he didn’t lead this team to an NCAA birth which is something the #1 pick in the drafts should do easily.
He just signed a max deal with Philly that I don’t think he will live up to.
He doesn’t have the cajones or the game to be The Man.
Sorry not sorry

Lol so why didn’t our 5* and 4* all conf level players win more than 2 games the next season? Was that their fault or was it because we had the worst coach in program history? The other comments you made are nothing but biased speculation so I won’t waste my time laying them to waste.
