This makes my blood boil at a level that it probably shouldn't.

He cant shoot.
If he can make ft at 80% and hit jumpers from 15 to 25, he'll be recognized as someone who learned.
Right now hes a gifted chump who banged a kardashian instead of submitting to a shooting expert last summer.

it's 1 thing to be 1 and done, but to openly bash the university frick you

Where did Ben openly bash LSU?
Posted on 7/5/19 at 10:11 am to Damone
In a documentary most people didn’t watch.

He didn't bash LSU. He criticized the requirement of playing in the NCAA for one year before going to the NBA.
He merely answered a question and said that he would have learned more in the NBA than he did in the NCAA:

quote:
Carter: So is there even a point to go to college for that six, seven months? . . . If I was as talented as you, would I see a point in that six or seven months of being there?
Simmons: I think no. I think I would have learned a lot more being around professional athletes. Looking at it now, I don't really know what I learned, financially, or just being a person at LSU. I think I've learned a lot more this whole year in Philly, just being a pro, than I did at LSU.

You’re right he can’t shoot but you don’t have the level of success he had on D without effort, you just don’t. Let me run a thought by you and sorry for any hostility during our convo, but when I first saw him for the home opener I had never seen a guy that big move that fast and cover that much ground. Is it possible that being such a great athlete he appeared effortless? Sometimes it can create that illusion, I know the first time I saw Jordan I didn’t believe he was fast, he was so smooth it didn’t look fast, plus the black shoe affect. Could that be what you saw?
I saw all that. Yes.
And I saw him slough off on D letting his guy go pass him forcing the other big guy with him to foul.
I didn’t see the intensity down the stretch that the great ones have. The ones that do whatever it takes and makes plays on O or on D to make the outcome positive.
You won’t get any argument from me regarding his freak abilities for a man that tall.

This has been repeated over and over and over. No matter how much evidence you present, some just won't listen.

I was told by friends and family who watched it, not to watch it cause they said it would piss me off. So I have refrained. Never saw it. But I heard it was not a good look for Ben at all.
Anyway, I've said my peace on this. I don't hate him and for those who want to love him go ahead. The dude quit at the end, and no one can convince me otherwise....because he did....plain and simple.
If you can forgive him for that fine, you're a good person. But that will never sit well with me...I don't care how much of a clown Johnny Jones was. To me that revealed something I did not care for.

We were just a stepping stone for a few months. And it showed.

Not enough. They would say he quit in the end.

Do you really think Ben Simmons considers HIMSELF a tiger? I doubt he does

Very good question
Could end his little senseless debate with the quickness
