I saw that he plans on being dual sport athlete.

What is a realistic expectation?

He can at somewhere like Nebraska, but not LSU. Lane doesn’t like allocating a lot of money to freshmen that won’t be ready to immediately contribute.

If Hudson is as good as he’s hyped to be, he won’t be cheap, and if Lane doles out that money to him, he’s going to expect him to play. And he’s likely not gonna let Wade borrow him if it prevents his football development in any way.

I imagine his NIL payment is going to split between basketball and football so he’ll be a bargain from lanes perspective

And he’s not signing anywhere that’s not letting him play both

Was at Squire Creek a week ago and Hudson's dad was there alluding that Ahmad is potentially going to flip to Nebraska.

To excel in both sports, I think it depends on the Player's position on the fb field and the player's frame.

If he was a 6'3 guard that plays WRs, CB, or S, that would be easy... but just like Green, its hard to see Hudson being able to maintain enough mass/size to play TE in the SEC at 240-245lbs after playing the backend of a college basketball season.

Whichever one he decides to commit to full time. Rarely do situations like his amount to anything after their recruitment. It's just sales. Neither program(LSU/Nebraska) really feels the kid is gonna be ultra successful at both. He's gonna have to choose if he wants to move forward. Anomalies exist for sure but history tells us its more likely much ado about nothing.

I just hope he’s good at football . Either he’s overhyped or he had the worst couple games of his life when we played Ruston. We were all scratching our heads. I hope he excels I just have tempered expectations based on what I watched in person.

I mean he had elite tight end numbers but he’s just called a tight end and linees up as and plays as a wide receiver.

Have any of these two-sport scholarship athletes been better in basketball than football? I am not recalling one at quick glance, but could have missed someone.

The main one I recall is Marcus Spears whose focus was football and who played basketball it seems like just his freshman year.

I heard the same thing from one of his Ruston football coaches that he loves Coach Rhule. Going to be a battle for sure. Just what I heard.

I heard from a guy who drove through Ruston that Hudson is all LSU and plans to play baseball.
