theres nothing wrong with McMath. He just has so many people ahead of him.

Right now the way I see it theres no fewer than 5 people in front of him.

Thats how I feel about these frosh. Lee and Palmer were both very high 4* but its going to take a special kind of talent to rocket up that depth chart in 3 months.

Sullivan is a hybrid tight end in this offense, so maybe doesn't count in your WR depth chart.

Jefferson, Chase and Marshall are your no doubt starting 3 but Anderson, Dillon and Sullivan I’ll all have designed plays where their skill set comes in handy. Jefferson will be the classic #1 WR and possession guy while Chase will be in the slot and move around everywhere. I expect a huge year from Chase. Marshall is the prototype outside receiver and deep ball threat. Anderson and Sullivan will be a big red zone target as well as tough to defend on quick slants where they can box out smaller corners. Dillon will be the speedster slot receiver who does his work over the middle and getting behind the defense. Normally guys like Lee and Palmer would play but we are just stacked right now. They will have to wait their turn. After this year we lose Sullivan, Anderson and Dillon plus Jefferson will be draft eligible so they will have plenty of playing time in 2020.

I dont think there's anything hybrid about it, he's a WR but they're calling it "flex TE" basically because they'll use a few other former TEs there.

Just another name for a TE who never puts his hand in the dirt.

Evan Engram good example, it's a jumbo WR.

Look where he lined up in spring game, he was almost always out wide.

Jefferson has moved to the slot, he lined up there all spring game.

They like Marshall and Chase outside right now with Jefferson inside.

There will basically only be goal line situations where we wont have at least 3 receivers on the field from now on.

Fair enough. He certainly won’t be on the line blocking lol.

I guess wouldn’t McMath fall under this same category?

I'm hoping they involve Dee Anderson in the passing game this season. Has a large catch radius and good hands and pretty good speed.

So I will say Jefferson Anderson Chase

that's who I would like to see also but for some reason it seems the staff doesn't feel the same way about Anderson, or at least hasn't in the past. As far as big receivers go, I like Anderson over Sullivan and even Marshall at this time.

I could see Marshall overtaking Jefferson. He has the potential and should see a lot of playing time.

Hate to disappoint, but he’s not very athletic or a skilled enough as a WR to overcome his lack of athleticism.

x2, and by saying that, also hope he can finally stay out of the coach's dog house for an entire season so he can showcase himself. Maybe not popular opinion, but I think he's better than Sullivan. More naturally talented for a big dude. I just think the coaches trust Sullivan way more at this point after having to deal with seemingly an issue every year with Dee.

Dee is incredibly fluid with the ball for a guy who is roughly about 6'5 225.

Yeah I'd love for Giles to prove us wrong, but writing has to be on the wall for him being 3rd/4th string slot in the spring game, and of course the coach saying he made a mistake to give him #7 last year.

I'd grad transfer and play somewhere else he could get on the field.

First 3 in: Jefferson Chase Marshall

Speed guy: Dillon

Possible break out star: Anderson

red zone specialist: Sullivan

“TE” who almost never blocks: McMath.

I seriously think Devonta Lee can break into the lineup he’s better than Sullivan

Watching Devonta's highlights he looks like he could shine playing defense.

Palmer is smooth. It'll be hard to keep him off the field. I don't know maybe he'll redshirt.

Off topic but I don’t think Utah State is gonna be a total blowout win that we can play 3rd stringers against. They barely lost to Michigan State last season on the road, went 11-2 and finished ranked #22

Hate it, but Giles is not top 6-7 at LSU right now

No reason this can't be a top 3 SEC group.

He's a football player. I would imagine that he would play where they wanted him. I expect big out of him.
