Cameron should've started Etling from 2nd half of Bama '15 after INT and hernia thing supposedly happened
Etling had to sit out the 2015 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

LSU tried to spread the ball at the end of 15. Don't forget they were 7-0 and #2 in the country. And maybe, just maybe the light was coming on just like it had for Mett. But Harris got worse after the UF game. Didn't matter if they threw it 50 times out of the shotgun. He throws the ball high.
I don't see that being fixed in a couple of months at UNC.

LSU is better off with both Miles, CAM and Brandon Harris being gone.
FIFY
Just seeing the difference midseason has been incredible. We've assembled a bad arse staff and the sky is the limit.

And then dismissed the whole thing as "not a big deal"
It was a pretty big deal in that moment in a pretty big game. I'm sure your teammates thought it was a big deal.
This kid's problem is consistency.
He can argue about system all he wants, but when he can't take a shotgun snap and whip a bubble screen to a 6'3" receiver with any kind of accuracy, that's on him.

Go back and watch the second offensive series against Wisconsin. Three pass attempts by Harris all incomplete becuase of his inaccuracy. That is why he lost the QB job. I mean those pass attempts were horrendous. Just god awful

I thought overall Brandon handled himself well in that interview. I do not think the offense suited him and I thought the quarterback coaching development was poor. I think most people would agree with that.
But to be fair, not all of Brandon's problems at LSU were system related. Brandon was not a very accurate passer, sometimes airmailing simple out routes by twenty feet. You only get so many series in a game and we had so many three and outs because Harris missed open receivers and rarely threw covered receivers open like some top qbs can do.
And the staff did give him ample opportunity to work through it. He was just not a very consistent passer.
I do think he ahs great talent and he does have big game experience, so I have little doubt he will perform better at NC. I do think his inaccuracy will continue to be a problem but maybe with confidence and his other skills he can overcome that. I think he has a Sunday arm, but until he learns to throw straight he will not be a Sunday player.

I think so too. People complain about "coach speak" and "player speak", it was nice to hear his real thoughts. Yea, he probably thinks he is better then he is, but that is any athlete. I really hope he works out at UNC. It's crazy how Les Miles' stuborness affected so many things, including players like Harris.

He can finally develop me into what I want to be, allow me to showcase my skill set on a national stage, where I get the opportunity to play in some big games and hopefully get the opportunity to make this a career one day.

Good kid and I wish him well. The nitpicks you guys have on here are pertaining to a 20 year old kid. If every kid in this country were of his quality, we'd all live in a better place.

The eyeballs test shows lsu's oline being very good in every game but one.
You're really going to say the offensive line played well against Wisconsin?
They were getting eaten up in pass protection, and completely wiffed several crucial blocks in the game. I remember a screen pass that should have been a TD, but our offensive line couldn't get 1 defender

Cannot wait to see the excuses on this board when he lights it up at NC!

I'll bet he'll do fine over there, he is a specimen that, iirc never played fb until hs, which isn't such a bad thing, but he definitely got screwed over by Les and Cam as far as being "coached up"

I've gotten in this exact argument with people multiple times. Very ignorant people.

At no time did i say our oline played well all the time. I said our oline was DOMINATED in only 1 game.

Yeah because we had a qb with zero pocket awareness and the refusal to trust his read and throw the ball once his plant foot hit the ground in his drop. Did you see how much better our pass blocking got once Etling was the starter?
