you can add the USC vs Notre Dame game to your argument. last play of game time was out and reviewed it and put 1 second back on clock

TT hit the ground with 3 seconds left. That's what I'm talking about.

I thought about this several times but in the end...it made us better. Not only will we not do that again but I think we got some fire back in some of our players...and coaches.

Even though we didn't kill Arkansas, they have a good coach and offense, even if he is a major douche...

Wrong. The answer is every play in college football is supposed to be reveiwed, including all clock mangagement. LSU was not awarded the extra second or two they deserved for the same reason Patrick Peterson's interception did not count at 'Bama. Total incompetance by the SEC officials on the field and in the replay booth.

Calling for a Replay/Reviewing a Play: There are two methods to stop a game to review a ruling on the field: (1) The Replay Official shall review every play of the game and may stop the game at any time before the ball is next put in play whenever there is reasonable evidence to believe an error was made in the initial on-field ruling, the play is reviewable and any reversal of an on-field ruling would have a direct, competitive impact on the game. (2) The head coach of either team may request that the game be stopped and a play be reviewed by challenging the on-field ruling one time during a game. A coach initiates this challenge by taking a team time out before the ball is next put in play and informing the referee that the coach is challenging the ruling of the previous play. After a review has been completed, if the on-field ruling is reversed, that team's time out will not be charged. After a review has been completed and the on-field ruling is not reversed, the charged team's time out counts as one of three permitted for that half. A head coach may not challenge a ruling in which the game was stopped and a decision has already been made by the Replay Official. If a head coach requests a team time out to challenge an on-field ruling and the play being challenged is not reviewable, the time out shall count as one of three permitted to the team during that half of the game. A head coach may not challenge an on-field ruling if all the team's time outs have been used for that half. If all team time outs have been used and a head coach signals for, and is granted, a time out, a delay penalty will be assessed. Each head coach will be permitted one challenge per game. When the Replay Official completes his review, he will inform the Referee of his decision that either (a) the ruling on the field is confirmed, (b) the play stands as called on the field, or (c) there is indisputable video evidence to reverse the ruling on the field. The Referee will announce the decision of the Replay Official to the crowd. The decision of the Replay Official is final.

In defense of the replay official, can you imagine the outcry around the country (and specifically Ole Miss fans) had they called for a review for LSU, thus stopping the clock which would have benefitted LSU tremendously.

Whether they decided to add 2 seconds or no seconds, it would have given LSU time to get set up for the FG.

I'm just really pissed about the Texas game. I was really pulling for Nebraska. I would have loved nothing more than the game to have ended on that play, Texas losing and Mack Brown looking like the biggest idiot in college football in the process.

Really I'm just venting cause i'm pissed. I hate Texas (my brother and sister go to school there, and I'm from Texas).

You have to have a timeout to request a review.

Hell no you don't.

ok - you can REQUEST all you want - but you cannot DEMAND one unless you have a timeout.

Because if the replay official would have signaled a stoppage in play at Ole Miss to review the time left after that play, he would have been killed.

If they added 2 seconds, we kick the field goal and win. Even if they didn't add any time, the time to review would have allowed us to get the kicking team on the field to try to kick the game winner.

In this game, the clock was stopped and there wasn't any issue.

What was that for? I know coaches can call for reviews, but you said the booth does it inside of two minutes. The booth does it the whole game in college. The coach can do it at any time, but the booth is more than likely going to review it if a coach is considering it.

We lost. We were very lucky to beat Arkansas and Miss State. The breaks evened out.

It was the right thing to do so a review should have been called!

Ridley did not get out of bounds against Arky. Was not even that close.

what burns my arse about the Ole Miss game is that you can clearly see the back judge running in after we tried to spike the ball to say he had gotten buzzed for a review, then he just did nothing as the teams streamed onto the field. If you still have it DVR'd check it out.
