I mean they brought a lot of fans and were kicking our arse. Did you expect them to be quiet while this was going on?

Having lived amongst Tennessee fans for almost four years now, I can honestly say that Tennessee football is all most of them have. They've been bad for so long that now the one thing in their life is going right, they're amped up.

I've lived in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and Tennessee. UT fans are the worst. Not hyperbole

ETA: But also they had a shite ton of people there so that helped.

I wondered the same thing, and I am pretty sure they bumped up the mics by the band and road fans. Nice turn out by the Vols, but the sound was disproportional.

I'm pretty sure there was a mic right in front of their band. It was the same for the LSU band at Auburn. You could hear them well during the broadcast of that game.

Also, Tennessee's band is twice as big as ours.

I haven’t watched the replay on TV so not sure if this is the case but their band was loud as shite during the game. Their halftime performance made ours look weak.

There were a ton of UT fans scattered throughout but the east upper and southeast corner we ALL Vols

I was there and it seemed like a normal amount of opposing sec fans. Maybe a tad more since they don’t have games in Baton Rouge often. Plain and simple answer is their team (or our own team) took the crowd out of it immediately and we never recovered. There was only maybe 2 times I recall where the crowd tried to get loud, but other than that it was like watching a kitten get chased around a room by a dog.

LSU doesn’t allow the golden band from tigerland to play anymore. Between every play they just blast some 10-15 year old song over the speakers instead of letting the band play.

Why do we put the opposing band in such a prime spot where they can affect the game? I’ve wondered this for most of my adult life. Dumb

I was at the game on west side in section 103 (all season ticket holders). I was surrounded by orange! From inside the stadium, both TGBFTL and Tenn bands were equally loud. However, the orange fan base was much louder than P&G. Probably because there were so many more orange moments. I can't understand why so many sold their tickets. The weather was perfect. I tried to stay till the end, but left with about 3 mins remaining. The ramps were eerily empty at that time.

Oh stfu. You people say the same shite about Bama Auburn Arkansas and Georgia fans. Every time we lose to one of them there’s some a-hole on here saying this exact thing. As if LSU fans are so superior and have so much going on outside of Tiger football.

Let them enjoy their win. Don’t be a sore freaking loser.

On tv, i was exclusively hearing Tennessee’s band even when we stopped them on 3rd down. Never heard Chinese bandits

This

Pregame was hype. Most chanting back and forth I’ve heard in a while entering the stadium. Crowd was ready. Special Teams was not.

LSU is at the top of every SEC fans bucket list. Two reasons. Proximity to Nola and Tiger Stadium being a historic sports venue. It’s makes a fun trip for the football nerds like myself.

A few others in the conference are Auburn, Oxford, Tuscaloosa, Knoxville and Athens.

I noticed this last year during the bama game and the AU game this year. ESPN will mute the band for some reason. It’s very noticeable on tv. I hate ESPN and losing cbs sucks

The opposing band's seats come out of the visiting fans ticket allotment. It's actually better now than it used to be. We've moved the majority of visitor seating to the East upper deck. I believe that the SEC mandates a certain number of visitor seats have to be located in the lower bowl. The difference is that LSU puts them all together in the Southeast corner, while most other schools scatter them throughout the stadium.
