I guess I understand the experience part. But the offense will be exactly the same as what got Les fired with Ensminger at the helm[/quote

I guess the interim goals are to maintain and not necessarily win.

He needs to do a better job with the WRs before being considered for anything else.

Maybe the plays are the same, but the play calling will be different, I hope.

Ensminger has held that position before. I would guess more experience wins out on this one

I recall his check off tendencies when he was QB at LSU with David Woodley. He made some plays out of nothing. Still remember the night he and Woodley hung 77 on Rice back in 1977.

He's had a lot of OC experience including a pretty damned good year at A & M. Logical choice.

Same pro scheme but Steve checked Cameron for not standing up to miles and was vocal about opening up the offense. He also has had some success as an OC. Former Lsu qb. Not a bad move at all.

You can't just make massive changes to the offense in the middle of the season

Give me a fricking break. We have not had one game yet and all you talk about is it will be the same old crap offense and we picked someone as OC who is not necessarily in it to win but keep the status quo. Jesus the rant can be stupid sometimes.

This is one if the dumbest threads I've ever read. You morons believe if a coach is older than another he's not modern?
Coaching football is one of the most demanding of all professions at all age levels. Look how much canvases curse coaches for being loyal to their colleagues.

just saying that it doesn't make sense to clean house and bring a bunch of old dudes.

I'm not even sure Craig can coach WRs and you're ready to give him the keys to the offense... Because he's not old.

HaHa!! KC, since you obviously can see into the future, why don't you share a couple winning Lotto tickets w/ your TR brethren???? Just b/c Ensminger has been on the same staff doesn't mean he has agreed w/ all the play calls made by Cameron and Miles. As pointed out by many others, he's had lots of experience as an OC and he already knows the verbage of LSU's offense. I thought read somewhere he also served briefly as an interim OC at Auburn, but I couldn't find that on the 'net so that may not be true.

Today's practice videos showed the same stuff. Lot of toss dive. But we'll have to give them time. Nigh surprise us

Someone has to run the recruiting dept with Coach O now in charge of the team. Craig needs to do that. He can't be OC
