Thanks for stating the obvious that a spread option QB would be successful in a spread option offense.

Thanks. I know I did.

and if you could use that noggin, you'd understand that Shep watched the 2007 team ran with what crowton called the "spread option"

He didnt expect this -even more conservative and vanilla - playbook that LSU turned to after he made his decision.

Shep knew what style of offense LSU ran.

And Miles knew what kind of QB Shep is.
I blame the millionaire coach for misleading the 17 year old (who to him was just one of 25 recruits that wouldnt make or break the program) more than I blame Shep for believing him.
Again, this is not the same thing as recruiting a guy who turns out to be not good enough. This is recruiting a guy under entirely false pretenses when he absolutely wouldn't have considered coming here if he knew Les's true intentions.

there were reports before the games saying he and the coaching personnel were having problems

Don't try to make sense out of it.

Again...LEADING RUSHER with ONE carry for 78 yards against Towson which he had five minutes into the game. And yes, we struggled on offense most of that game.

He should have issues with the coaching staff.

I'm not saying he did everything great and was entitled to big touches, but he was worth a few more touches for sure.

Look at the Facts , besides his freshman year against auburn
All his big runs came against horrible teams. Don't start with he never got a chance. He did and couldn't get open and couldn't catch. Or was tacked for a loss. And alot of people say he has ball security issues in practice.( don't know that for sure but it's been said) he got his chances. Love RS10 but he didn't deserve more playing time than ware Boone beckham or wright Landry Hilliard ford hill

He deserved more than OBJ.

Specifically while OBJ was going through a case of butterfingers this season.

You're COMPLETELY WRONG. He had a 19-yard run against Bama this year and that matched our longest run. He had the highest average at 7+ yards per carry on three carries.

He was the leading receiver and had our longest reception against Bama last year in our W against them at Bama. His catch led to our first score before half.

The year before that, he averaged 15+ per carry against Bama on three carries and had a 41-yarder that was by far the longest carry of the game in that W again.

The only time he didn't have an impact against Bama was in his freshman year where he didn't have any rushing yards and a few passing yards.

Bama is the best team we play - he did well against them.

Do you honestly think he is a better receiver than Beckham, Landry, or Boone? Or a better running back than Hill, Ware, Ford, etc?

You ever heard of the speed sweep?

That goes against our five-play rule that states that we should only run those plays and we will make them work even if they know what is coming. That's what it seems like anyway...unless we're playing Bama - we usually throw a couple of extra things in there.
