Why the Texas A&M game isn’t a must win game. Updated playoff picture.

The key was last nights win.
You had to go 1-1 against Arkansas and A&M. You did.
A loss at Kyle Field but 4 wins against all of these easier opponents and you’re in the playoffs.
Alabama
Florida
Vanderbilt
Oklahoma
PLAYOFF MATCHUPS:
Oregon - We match up well against them. I think we can easily contain Dillon Gabriel.
Texas - isn’t really a balanced team. Very one dimensional and we would match up well against either Manning or Ewers.
Penn State - Allar is very inconsistent.
Georgia - Carson Beck is great. Like really great. This would not be an ideal match for us.
Miami - huge concern for me would be going against Cam Ward, arguably the best QB in the nation.
Best case scenario for playoffs would be going up against an Oregon or Texas team and avoiding Miami and Georgia as much as possible.

You're getting downvoted to hell, but if LSU is going to drop another game, it needs to happen sooner rather than later.
The biggest issue I see with dropping the A&M game is if both teams finish at 10-2.

They're on a roll, on the cusp of beating Tennessee and beating the brakes off Kentucky. And they beat Miss St soundly, something that Georgia, A&M and even Texas were unable to do.

It is a must win IMO. You want to go into the bye week with some momentum to keep guys locked in.

Incorrect. A&M is now a must win game because you cant assume you going to beat Alabama. You beat A&M you are in the playoffs even if you lose to Bama.
You lose to A&M and Bama you going to the Bluebonnet Bowl in the Astrodome
