Because most of those who want him back are from South Lafourche and are convinced people dont like him only because hes from South Lafourche.
I have family there and its all thry have talked about even before he was hired as the head coach, how the people up north(anyone not from what we consider South Lafourche) just dont like him cause hes from down the bayou.

This is such a played and horrible take. Do you think Lane Kiffin comes here and says all this stuff about, "This is the best job in the land." or "I took a look at the trophies and Hiesmans..." If 2019 and Joe Burrow doesn't happen?!? No freaking way! You can not have the 2019 season and single handily ruin the program. How can a program be ruined but still hire the most sought after coach. Retire this horrible idea that he ruined things. It makes no sense.

He may have ruined the program. But it was because he couldn't handle the enormous success he had. I think he understands that. It would take a LOT of pride swallowing to come back as Defensive Line coach or recruiting coordinator. I have understanding at reaching the top and falling. It happens to people who catch lightning in a bottle.
Ed O at recruiting or DL would be the perfect place for him to continue to promote LSU and be an ambassador part of the program. And he's tough and demands effort on the field. Nothing like we've seen the last few years. And if Lane wants him, then damnit he gets him.

Outstanding dline coach and recruiter. Messy divorce. And Woodward pretty much fkd him with the bullshite salary restriction for cord's.. he couldn't go get a coordinator with a pulse. A mil w no incentives. Id be pumped if he came back as Dline coach
