I’m actually up beat on this offense. If O keeps his nose out of it.

RPO’s don’t require a running QB. The QB has to make the read and hand off or throw. A mobile QB adds another element, but isn’t a necessity. No one fears Brees tucking and running.

Of course they don't REQUIRE it. But it makes the RPO that much more treacherous if the QB is a run threat.

Are you seriously denying that?

Sorry, I’m busy looking for the denial in my post.

But if you don't comprehend that Clemson's Spread/RPO was a deciding factor then I can't waste my time with you.

Feelings are mutual.

I think They’re just saying it’s less RPO 101 and just basic Football 101.

A QB who is a threat to run is a huge plus if you never run an RPO.

Now it’s great when you have RPOs because it gives you options if the opposing team runs a lot of man.

LSU's new analyst, Brady's pal DJ Mangus, raved about the sick advantage that Burrow's running ability brings to LSU's RPO.

O has yet to even have a lead in the game against Bama.

How embarrassing! Not even one fricking lead three football games.

But hey, ten wins, third in the west, arse kicked by our hated rival and our coach gets an extension/pay raise.

At lease it got Alleva out of here.

I think his list goes something like this.

1. Joe Burrow
2. Ed O
3. Joe Alleva
4. Steve E
5. Ohio State

Way down the list. LSU

Not saying we shouldn’t want to Beat Bama, of course we all want to Beat Bama.

But Miles got fired because he lost the ability to win 10 or 11 of the other 11 games on the schedule.

As long as Saban as there, the realistic goal should be to win 10 or 11 regular season games. If we happen to upset Bama every now and again, that’s just a cherry on top.

Well, that's one theory.

The one I buy is expressed in the last paragraph of the link in the OP (written at the end of the '15 season):
quote:

In sum, the prevailing sentiment in the aftermath of Saturday night was that Miles had pulled a power play on the LSU boosters. The thinking was that Miles had prevented his enemies from making a bad decision. However, the reality is that the decision to fire Miles was rational. Unless Les makes changes, those reasons for that decision will remain valid.

Just a dumbass response to a legitimate point. LSU brings in the spread/RPO that everyone has been clamoring for the last 5 yrs and you take the trash the staff position. Yeah, they know we sucked and are doing something different.
