You’re right, if greedy breaks a finger in the bowl game, he’ll be pumping gas till he retires.

Exactly the kind of extremism response I expected.

What’s the upside to playing in the game exactly?

You’re risking millions so that a couple of TD posters feel good about you?

Then in a couple years if he doesn’t have the career he’s expected to have and goes through some bad investing and is struggling to put food on the table, the same posters will be here going “HAHA WHAT AN IDIOT!! HE BLEW IT”

Stop counting other peoples money.

Maybe play the game you’ve been given a scholarship to play. Finish the season with your team. Hell, there at least 15-20 “projected top 10 picks”. Why aren’t they sitting out?

You really think LSU fans are gonna make fun of an LSU player if they fall in hard times?

Because they chose not too. That’s their decision

What did I deflect? Your reasoning is ridiculous. You're whole stance here is that he should play because even if he gets hurt that he will still make money. You're completely avoiding the amount of money he stands to lose and then being a jackass by saying someone thinks his daughter is going to starve or he's going to be pumping gas.

The fact is that he stands to lose somewhere around $20M if he sustains an injury serious enough to drop him into the 2nd round. You may have a weak argument if we've never seen a serious injury in a bowl game. But, just recently Jalyen Smith and Jake Butt suffered knee injuries in bowl games.

You aren’t noticing but a lot of top picks are.

Gary, Oliver, Greedy

There are guys projected in the 4th round sitting out.

And the “you’ve been given a scholarship to play this game” angle is bullshite. The university makes so much money off these players, far beyond the value of their scholarship. If you’re gonna treat it like a salary, guess what, he isn’t getting anymore scholarship money since he left school. So they’re even in that front.

People really don't seem to understand this point.

It’s the same as it was the last few games. Nothing’s changed.

Let’s be real

Greedy is on the precipase of millions

You think he’s sticking around to cram for finals so he can play a G5 team?

Those games were regular season, scheduled games. This is an exhibition. There's an enormous difference.

He stands lose well over double the amount of money he would get paid if he were to get hurt. Think about that for a second.

Why? It’s just games.

What would he lose if he sat out the aTm game?

In the NFL, where Greedy is going to be playing, once a team is out of the playoff race the head coach and front office uses the game film to see who is still playing for the team and giving their all. Also, with free agency, the other 31 one teams use that tape as well to decide if they want to sign a player and how much to pay them if so. Not playing in the regular season games wouldn't be a good look for his future employers. Skipping the bowl game is a lot like not playing a preseason game.

Ask him. Any answer given here is pure speculation.

What a bitch you are. Twisting everything because you want someone else to risk their kid's kids future so you can watch him play football while you stuff your fat face.

That defensive back from a G5 school hoping to impress on pro-day and make an NFL roster stands to lose 9-10x the amount of money he would get paid if he were to get hurt.
Think about that for a second

Make an average of 50k/year vs play a couple years as a back-up on NFL roster making at least $450k/year.

Why don't people get this?

Reading comprehension is hard for you I guess.

I clearly made a point in the OP that his degree is likely trash and he is most likely going to only make maybe $50k/year vs league minimum $450/year just to make an NFL roster.
