Why not foul and prevent them from getting 3 every time?!

The most they’d get is 2 free throws and I know it’s unconventional, but they obviously won’t miss many threes! Take that away and give them two at the most!

If a team takes 40 3's, that would foul out 8 guys. Not too damn smart of an idea.

Not the whole game obviously, but once you see we aren’t stopping them, I’d rather take my chances at the line with a few of their guys goin 1-2 instead of 3 points every time down.

LSU isn’t deep on the bench. They can’t afford to foul. Listen to Coach Wade’s interview before the Alabama game and he commented on that very thing

Play f#$king better defense, it's plain and simple. No on ball defense (stopping penetration) which is leading to most of their troubles. What I saw from this game was good game planning from Bama, penetration came on the side with a baseline guy and sometimes a very high wing guy (which would prevent that defender to rotate in time) when the help came from the baseline defender, nobody was around or could help couldn't get there which lead to open 3's. Solution: play better damn on ball defense and you won't have so many damn help situations.

You would have to like be within 15 feet of the shooter to foul. Maybe get within 5 feet of them and they won’t hit shots.

. If you're close enough to foul someone in a 3-pointer, then you're close enough to defend it.

We aren't anywhere near these people when they are shooting threes. you also realize that if you follow three point shooter he gets three shots, correct?

Or are you saying we should hack- a -everybody?

Anyway you slice it I can't believe you hit submit on this

They only see the ones the opponents make which self serves to justify their preconceived viewpoint.

Missing all those paint shots early in the game was what killed us

That would be stupid. They would get 70 Ft. making 70+ % and get over 50 points. As opposed to the 39 they got.

That and all of the standing and watching until the comeback started.

50 possessions:

40% threes (at best) = 60 points

67% (at worst) of 100 free throws = 67 points

I know this is exaggerated, but any college player will shoot an unguarded 15 foot shot much better than a guarded (sometimes) 22+ foot shot (even guys shooting with one hand )

I would say that’s the dumbest basketball post I’ve ever seen by far, but this is the 2nd time in 3 days that someone has made this exact suggestion.
