Why no Quality Junior Class pitcher on this team

I know players get drafted, leave for various reasons. But not to have one quality Jr pitcher on the team. Does someone have the answer.

I question recruiting. Did they recruit gunner Leger or the guy from sulphur this year? He was mr baseball of Louisiana

Manieri very rarely has 3-4 stud pitchers. Ucla,Vandy and TCU now are setting the standard. We focus too much on getting one killer ace and not other stud pitchers. I'll take 3 B± -A pitchers over one A++ pitcher. FYI we should be as good or better than everybody else next year most of our staff back next season.

It always seems like they go after guys who are 1-5 round HS draft signers. They get the guy like Lange, who really wanted to come here, but miss on the rest. Then there left with whoever they can sign. They always have a solid Friday guy and the rest are mediocre.

Yea, they may have been better than him, but we sure could've used his arse yesterday.
All this ragging on Leger is fing stupid. The fact is they didn't sign him and that plays into the whole narrative of not having any pitching.

I shake my head for multiple seasons of lack of quality arms on the team. PM can get through the SEC with this setup, but when facing teams advancing through post season with 6-8 quality arms and command and one of his 2 have an off game, it is done. It is similar to recruiting position players who don't have a "fit" at a specific position, then trying to reposition other guys from their best positions to get the initial guy at bats. It drives me crazy. They played damn well yesterday other than on the mound, and were absolutely given a chance a to win by Travers the first few innings. Still need to work on a slightly different hitting philosophy as what they try to do against quality starters is going to result in similar results. Going to be very difficult to replace the speed being lost off this team.

We had Lange, Marshall, Latz coming in this year and one of those left for other options, and another one got hurt... ALL THREE OF THESE GUYS could have been (in your words) A+ pitchers... Why the frick wouldn't CPM want to have three aces??

But that's been the PM narrative ever since He's been here.
3 Center Fielders play the outfield. None with adequate arms.
A streak hitting, error prone, 1st baseman playing 3rd.
A backup catcher playing 1st.
A Left Fielder playing 2nd base.
It just fits. Recruit athletes, not position players, then plug and play.

You know what's fricking stupid? The fact that PM and Dunn knew they weren't going to have Latz and Marshall, since last fall and couldnt produce a third starter because they didnt recruit the talent like Vandy and UCLA.
That's not fricking stupid, that's the fricking reality.
