Why no news on SB Coach????

Aren't all the potential hires finished their season?????
Would be good pub if they would of named the coach yesterday or today...espn would of spread the news......

We need to hire the Arizona State hitting coach. Those girls can hit. I think they said 12 players are batting over .300. The Tigers need to learn how to hit.

What an ignorant post.
If Alyson Habetz from Alabama is in the picture, which we all assume she should be, her season ended all of TWO DAYS AGO. If she gets an interview, it probably won't be until the end of this week.
If anyone from Baylor is in consideration, their season ended TWO DAYS AGO.
The Houston coach's season ended a little over a week ago.
What is the rush? I love how the Rantards like to blame the AD for stupid crap like this. He will make his hire when he is damn good and ready and will then share it with us.

My post never blamed our AD...was just posing a question......when?
I would assume our AD has had some discussions with interested candidates...he probably knows who he wants....our seriously doubt he would wait till end of season to begin the search. Yvette announced her retirement a while back.
One reason he might want to name a coach sooner than later is recruiting...lots of it going on now with summer tournaments....I am sure you might of heard of it.....
The main point I was trying to make is if we named our coach while the championship series was going on it would give LSU good pub....

So would you rather LSU make a rush decision so that they can have the hire talked about for 20 seconds during the WCWS, or take the appropriate amount of time, get who they want, and compete for the WCWS?

Speculation was LSU wanted to talk to former LSU pitcher and now Pitching coach at Baylor, Brittany Snead but I dont think anything was offered to her.

OP its a logical question...don't let the dics who think this is their board bother you..its what they do all day is check spelling and grammer or "tone" of a fricking typed staement on a discussion board.
And, seriously, they think they are being big and helping.......
THe obvious answer is even if he has a favorite so far, he still would go thru the correct procedure of interviewing all of his original condidates.

I agree for the most part, and that's why I didn't say anything initially. But when the OP said that he/she wasn't blaming Alleva, I thought that I would just let them know that that's what it kinda seemed like.
Hell, I was downright nice by just saying that there was a tone!
