Saban- a National Title and an ascension to the level that LSU is today. He started and established our golden era.

Start a petition and take it to the administration.
Then march on the Stadium. We want Tittle.

I'm not sure who is responsible for doing these things at LSU. Part of the problem may be that those responsible don't know the history of LSU well enough to realize how great some of these folks are. I am all for Y. A. Tittle getting as much recognition as possible. Don't know who to email, call, etc.

Why don't we start with Dan Borne, TAF, and Joe Alleva?
Dan Borne: dan@lca.org
TAF: tafinfo@lsu.edu
Joe Alleva: athletics@lsu.edu

I have pleaded for Y.A. and SVB to be honored like that... and soon.
It drove me nuts to see Y.A. sitting in the suite right above the Cannon shrine when it was unveiled. Bottom line is that Yelverton and Van Buren should've been honored before Cannon or Casanova. LSU is way behind the game in promoting it's rich football history.

No, the number 25 and his name on the ring of honor.
SVB , and Jim Taylor too... it's way beyond time for them to be honored like that.
This way of promoting mostly just Cannon as the "greatest LSU Footballer" is why people think that LSU has no history beyond Cannon, Saban , and the latest run of success and great players.

LSU was too long hampered by old school, nepotistic, practices. Joe Dean comes to mind, as well as some current LSU BOD's that I won't mention because they're family friends, (and still do favors for me
.) Whomever was the impetus for getting rid of those ingrown types that held us down for so long, and resulted in us going "outside" the family, and getting us to where we are now, deserves a place in the ring of honor.

The Ring of Honor is based on accomplishments at LSU, not the NFL?

'47 Cotton Bowl MVP. Back when there were only 3-4 bowls? Also, hampered by LSU re-instating returning WWII vets into starting lineup, over better players.

That's o.k. We can build a 200 K capacity stadium.

Yep...and Dorsey will be 90 yrs old if you let the LSU admin do it on their own. Still working on those windows I guess.
The whole list posted earlier should be included. Why not? Let people know about LSU football through the years. It's something to be proud of. And I'm sure those guys would appreciate it. For example:
Steve Van Buren
Elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the Class of 1965.
Ranked number 77 on The Sporting News' list of the 100 Greatest Football Players in 1999.
Number 15 retired by the Philadelphia Eagles
... and he was just as good for LSU. There are a lot of Philly fans who consider the two Vans - Van Buren and Van Brocklin - the greatest Eagles of the 20th Century.
But let's take our time
