I don't understand why this question comes up so often

In the current SEC, Atlanta is something like a 6 hour drive from every school, other than Arkansas and LSU.

The SEC winner goes to the Sugar Bowl (when not in the BCS CG), why would they have the SEC CG in NOLA given that?

BHam stadium is outside and is supposedly in poor repair.

With the TAM and Mizzou addition to the SEc this would be a good option for them and the SEC

Best thing about expansion is to enhance the posibillity of moving some of the championships around in a more equitable manner.

I'm guessing NOLA and Bham's markets are too small?

NOLA is big enough for the Sugar Bowl and the BCS championship game but not a large enough market for the SEC?

Not true for LSU, Arky, TAM, and Mizzou.

No, it gives the EAST teams unfair advantage. I say it rotates between Atlanta and New Orleans.

I say whichever team is going from each division that has the highest BCS ranking or better SEC record gets it so West=Dallas East=Atlanta

I agree that it will probably end up in Jerry World in the next few years. Jerry is an Arkansas alum. Even though, they may never end up in the SECCG, he would love to host them if they did. Plus, with A&M joining and no Big 12 Championship game, it would seem right. You know Jerry is going to make all the money he can to pay for that stadium and to feed his EGO.

I always thought there were a number of good NFL stadiums in the Southeast that could hold it. Why not rotate amongst the 7 or so sites?

It's not going to be in NOLA when the winner is locked into the sugar bowl. That would be 2 trips to NOLA in 4 weeks.

And to those that think it'll be in Dallas in 3 years, I'm pretty sure Atlanta is locked up until 2017 or so.

Figures from a UGA fan.
The point is there will be more teams west of center than east and so maybe it should be played in Oxford Mississippi?
