CBS broadcasts games at 2:30, and LSU is playing Alabama on CBS.

CBS gets first choice & is selecting the best game of the week. This has been expected for months. Nothing new.

The only other SEC game that day worth a shite is Arkansas vs. South Carolina.

They want ratings, and LSU to lose.

jesus christ! this gets talked about before every home game on CBS and multiple times in the offseason about CBS contracts! Why is it so fricking hard to figure it out when every big game is on CBS?

is South Carolina and Arkansas.

CBS doesn't select the "best game", they select the game more people will watch. Big difference.

Do you really need to ask this question? Have you not heard of the "SEC on CBS?"

Because this is the Rant, where reason is even less in evidence than on the Poliboard.

The bama game will not have high tv ratings on CBS once bama starts beating our butts. So CBS could possible lose money by putting this game on their SEC on CBS package.

Hmmm...

In 2009, the LSU-Alabama was seen by 6.3 million, second only to Florida-LSU with 6.8 million for a regular season game. CBS's highest rated SEC game was the SEC championship between Fla/Bama.

In 2008, Alabama-LSU was viewed by 6.1 million, the highest rated regular season SEC game of that year. The championship was the highest again.

This is the Rant. Solid reasoning is not welcome here.
