Didn’t Brady sign an extension with lsu literally a week before he took the Carolina job anyway? We tried to lock him up. He couldn’t and shouldn’t turn down an nfl OC role. He could go from college PGC to NFK HC in 2 years. That’s ridiculous

They tried to keep Brady, that didn't work out. Dont blame Brady or LSU. Its their back up option that has sucked once again. Hiring a retread from the Cowboys and keeping Steve Ensminger as OC is a damn joke. All the PR via LSU about Steve E being a great offensive mind is offensive

Listen, if the Tigers really wanna pay hardball with Ed, they can use those pictures of him with that young girl lying in the bed half naked to exercise the morality clause and get out of the contract.

He's single. She's his girlfriend. Not shocking.

No pass for anyone! Everyone is accountable for this team. Recruiters included.

OR because it's written into their contract that they get a raise after winning a national title.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe O's contract had such a clause in there. He hit damn near every contract incentive possible in 2019. If LSU wanted to give him a raise/extension following 2019, that's fine. But to make him the second highest paid coach in college football WITHOUT his demand justifying such was astonishingly stupid. NO ONE was going to offer O that kind of money...or anywhere close. Even following 2019.

That terrible business decision was topped only by Woodward agreeing to Pelini's even more ridiculous contract. LSU paid him Aranda money even though Bo at 1/10th (at best) the Aranda demand.

Woodward is not to blame for the hiring/firing of a DC. Woodward is responsible for O, and O is responsible for making his own hires.

He's not to blame for O selecting Pelini. But he IS to blame for agreeing to a stupid contract. One that could be incredibly onerous IF LSU was forced to make a change.

It was and should have been O's choice. But it is the AD's job to set the budget. The HC in those situations is the "spoiled kid". He wants what he wants and doesn't care what it costs. The AD has to be the "parent" and make sure the kid doesn't overpay.

All those looking to blame Woody, are just looking for a scapegoat for Orgeron for this season.

Woody did not recruit or coach a single player. The on-field performance isn't on him. But he unnecessarily made it more financially difficult to quickly make a change if/when if became necessary.
