I think Saban is more concerned about winning at Alabama than getting guys to the pros. When he talks to draft eligible players he tries to convince them to come back. Miles, in my opinion, was more about the players. He obviously wanted to win championships at LSU, but he was just as concerned as getting his guys paid. I don't blame him for thinking this way, and if it were me I would recruit like I would have the guys for 3 years anyway. A fourth year would be a bonus.

Please stop with the Bama praise. If they are worth a hoot, someone gives them a payday to stay for their senior year. Probably 10 grand. Some of these kids are coming from the same poor situations as the LSU players.

I think the way he was targeted in the bowl game was the coaching staff's way of trying to drive up his value and subtly encourage him to enter the draft.

That's just my theory, and I cannot prove or substantiate it.

It was the other way around. They recruited him very hard to come back.

You may be right. I have no sources. It was just a theory, and I don't claim to have any inside access or information.

The talent at LSU and Bama is not the same or equal. They have been recruiting at an unheard of level. They're depth in the front seven is unmatched.

This is the correct answer coupled with Alabama's reputation and potential for title each year. Really nothing more to say than its always been that way, but for brief periods.

Bama players don't want to give up their "supplements" by going to the NFL.

Because LSU develops NFL players. The Saban development is a myth.

LSU produces better NFL players across the board. Bama has produced better college players.

LSU players hit the field earlier to play and players at Alabama wait longer to play, but have a better opportunity to win NC and get a ring in the process IMO.

Spot on plus like others said we sell early PT to a lot of recruits.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that they have better depth at all positions. Meaning that a lot of guys that are good enough for a chance in the NFL for them don't even start till their junior or senior seasons. Where as ours are usually starting by sophomore season or sometimes freshmen. Hence ours have a chance to prove themselves earlier on.

If you read tRant enough, you know that the most obvious reason is the significant paycheck that awaits Alabama players who forego the draft to return for their senior seasons, of course.

I'd say they have to make it worth skipping out on money. How many national titles do you want to win for free? I just don't see the , I want to come back and win my 2nd or 3rd and forgo millions.

other schools, including LSU, can't even get kids to stay and win 1.
