This is all true to a small extent. Me and a whole bunch of my HS class were heads in the 70s and we all turned out ok.

Man I agree 100% isn’t harmless. It’s habit forming. Psychologically “addictive,” like eating sugar, masturbating, gambling.

But all of that shite is legal and isn’t tested for.

Alcohol is much worse AND can be physically addictive with deadly withdrawals. But no one cares that college ball players get away with drinking no problem. Why?

I think it should be legal, but it still doesn't excuse the players who know it's a team violation and could cost them.

I am very disappointed at players who get caught during the bowl season and become ineligible. Can't you please just stay focused on the game and smoke after, thanks.

Who freaking cares about smoking a damn leaf.

If LSU stopped testing they would have losing seasons within three years. Weed is extremely destructive of ambition and motivation if it’s used regularly. Testing for weed is proyecting the investment LSU has made in the program.

I don’t care if it’s legalized or not, but it’s not harmless. Some of you fern fans are incredibly stupid in your defense of weed.

Alcohol is legal
Weed is illegal

You asked a question why athletes cannot smoke weed and I gave you the answer. I cannot explain it to you any better.

The debate of weed can go on forever

One day it will be legal and when it is you will be happy and weed will be treated the same as alcohol.

There are plenty of laws that can hurt your playing time if you break them, stealing, DUI's, peeping toms, rape, point shaving, illegal gambling and the list can get longer. At some point the school have to enforce rules and some schools take a stronger stance against weed than others, these coaches can look the other way or enforce the rule of the law. Some schools looked the other way like Baylor [rape], Penn State [young boy abuse] and look at the public outcry. Ohio State just lost a great coach because he did not get involved in the relationship between his assistant coach/wife and spousal abuse.

I understand your quest for the answer but its against the law is all I can see

Yeah it was definitely marijuana that made LSU lose its investment in players like Tyrann Matthieu who was promising but never made a single good play on the field right?

Or was he playing like a fricking legend and his career here was cut short because of a stupid fricking policy
