I see a lot of people almost expecting to lose a game. Why is this? Why are some of our fans always so scared of the opposing team? We have one tough road game against the #2 team in the country at the time, then get a slow start the following week against WKU and all of a sudden the season is falling apart?

So Arky is going to give us all that we can handle. They got destroyed by Bama. They were 3 yards away from losing to Vandy.

And now UGA is "Bama-lite"? They blew out a weak Auburn team (so did LSU). They barely beat UF on a neutral site. And for argument's sake, I won't even mention the way they started the season.

I wouldn't be surprised for either or both games to be close. But have a little faith for christ's sake. We've been there before. We've won tough games all season. These won't be any different. Give our team some credit.

Some people fear their own shadow.

BTW, hope the Tigers don't have to play their own shadows.

I wouldn't say most of us fear either team, but Arkansas has a chance of upsetting us if things go their way (not so much for UGA).

Im worried about how Arkansas always tends to play us tough, no matter how good they are. We are so much better than them, though. Would love a rout

Not "everyone" fears Arky and Georgia, especially the LSU Fighting Tigers football team!

Arkansas always plays their best game against us. Georgia is playing on all cylinders. Its not that Georgia has always been good, but it's that they are playing GOOD FOOTBALL right now. that's all that matters--how they are playing NOW.

IT's call the les miles effect. We know CLM as good as he was never win more then 11-2.

Now as Arky. The last time we beat them with coach pertrino at the helm was two years ago on a SATURDAY night IN Tiger Stadium and they took us into OT.

We are playing them Friday. at 1:30

For UGA, the first time CLM met UGA he got torch IN the SECCG. THe second time he meat UGA he got beat in his own house by like 50 I think.

He barely beat them in their own house and that was with a shitty UGA team. They seem to be finding their rhythm now like in 2007. Crowell= No show when he was hot.

So they are afraid with good reason. Hell even Ole Miss with a shitty team played us down to the wire last year.

I've seen a lot of LSU football.

what I've never seen in my lifetime (well, I was 1 yr old) was LSU going undefeated in the SEC in a single season.

excuse me if i have a nervous twitch.

1982 Miss State
1984 Miss State
1986 Ole Miss
1987 Bama
1988 florida
2003 florida
2007 Arkansas

Ark has been a dreadful road team this season so lets hope that trend continues next week.

I think people are mistaking theoretical "what if" discussions and assuming that people think LSU will actually lose in these scenarios.

If the discussion is "LSU wins out," there's no conversation.

There is no chance we lose, everyone is freaking out because we didnt curb stomp WKU. Georiga's wins have all been very close while we has demolished everyone not named Alabama. The reason Ark beats us is because LSU plays for championships if we arent in it for the championship we dont really care, unfortunately this leads to a let down at the end of the season. Arkansas always shows up for us but we have everything riding on this, it will be smooth sailing IMO. The same thing happens with Ole Miss sometimes because its usually the second to last game.

Is either one better than 'Bama? Nope. Even close? Nope. Either one better than Oregon? Nope. Even Close? Yeah close but LSU beat Oregon handily. Are they both good teams? Yes, and capable of pulling the upset. Sorry, but I don't feel scared.

It just seems to me that people are quick to credit these other teams for the way they're playing, and rightfully so. They are playing good football. But because Bama was close and the offense struggled, and we didn't beat WKU by 60, people discredit what LSU has done the rest of the year.

Arky and UGA are good teams, no doubt. But LSU is a great team.

And to say the outcomes of games in 2005, 2008, 2009, etc. have any bearing on this game is laughable. This is far and away the most complete team I've seen at LSU in a long time.

LSU team will have lots of motivation for these games. LSU had a humiliating loss at Ark last year, the wounds are still fresh. UGA will be for a spot in the NC game.
Tigers will play focused for these games.

I dont know why pplp are so scared of these teams either. Arky has a legit O but their D is terriible.
As for UGA just look at their schedule. They are slowly becoming the most overrated team in football

Wow! Let me see if I can interpret.
LSU did lose to UGA in the '05 SECCG when the dual hurricanes forced them to play 11 games in less than ten weeks. Would a fresh Tiger team have provided a sterner test? I'd have to say so. The '08 meeting in TS was a 14 point loss with two JL pick sixes providing the difference. LSU scored 38 on UGA with a freshman QB. Then they defeated UGA between the hedges. The Dawgs still went to a bowl as I recall; not a horrible team at all. As far as comparing this Tiger team to the '09 team that's apples to oranges also. This team is much deeper; much faster and thoroughly indoctrinated in the Chief's system. Sorry; still not scared!
