That was coach speak that every coach in the country would have used. Even Saban is spewing that line with everyone knowing Tua will start.

O deserves blame for some things. This is not one. Most predicted 2 QB’s would likely be gone once Burrow was signed.

We weren’t keeping 5 scholarship QB’s on the roster. That’s just stupid. We got a game ready scholarship QB in the 2018 class in Burrow. He won the job. This is working out how most predicted

Dude we are going into the season with 2 scholarship QBs. Its not exactly rocket science that its not good that your 3rd string QB is a walk-on

He tried to sign one in the '18 recruiting year though, right? Foster?
So if we'd signed Foster the spring game would've happened exactly as it did and we would probably still gone after Burrow. McMillan probably would've left even sooner in that situation. There would've been no situation in which we had to carry 5.
